    1. corners and edges must be straight 2. an oversized door (added 1foot for height 8 inches for width) allows for a classier look 3. grain matching so it would look like one singular piece 4. buy a proper tile leveler so there would be no lippage in the tiles 5. for greater emphasis, add accents when transitioning from one element to another (wall (shadow gap), floors, etc.) 6. designer type outlets makes a difference 7. a sleek and architectural type of shower/floor drain 8. add both warm lighting (for coziness) and cool lighting (for doing something important at night)

I agree on door height, especially if you have high ceiling. Pangit tingnan kapag low in height yung door. But husband said if the door gets damaged though very rare naman, for fabrication pa yung door.

I like your ideas of giving importance to very small details because this small details really affects the entire spectrum. We’re basically the same in this area and also the lightings. My husband and I argued about having too much light in our house but it does matter since it adds the cozy ambiance. Looking forward to more informative vlogs!

Good suggestions. Attention to detail is vital to making most projects aesthetically pleasing, which affects your mood to a degree. Attention to details can also make your life easier concerning functionality. Always weigh the functionality against the aesthetics and elect function over form to simplify your life and save on maintanence and repairs. Best to plan ahead for aging if you intend to stay in your house for a lifetime. Make certain all doors are at least 36 inches wide = 91.44 cm = 914.4 mm. Be certain your CR=bathroom/shower is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair and have a roll in shower. You never know when an accident/stroke or disease will take away your mobility. Best to avoid shadow trimming, especially on the floors as they collect dust and dirt and are a pain in the neck to keep clean. Make and keep your household cleaning tasks simple and straight forward. The less the better. Laundry area should also be wheelchair accessible. Time and money saved in repairs, maintainence and cleaning is time freed up for enjoyment and money in your pocket. Be well.

I agree with you. For example, when we built our house, all our doors, even those for bathrooms have the same height of 2.4 mtrs and width of 1 mtr, floors are continuously flat, even from hallway to bathrooms and within the bathrooms, we have a ramp fr service gate entrance to main door. All these are in consideration of using a wheelchair in the future.

I'm just like you, very detailed, but sometimes I get tired of it and wished that I could just live through life in my house without being so obsess about it. My house was constructed 10 years ago and I have the same ideas as you, like the bathroom drains, ceiling height, perfect tile layout, mood lighting, etc etc and still today I'm looking at the all the failed details in my house. I'm having dinner and I'm looking at the wall thinking maybe it is not so straight and I forget about enjoying my food. I'm walking down my hallway and I'm staring at my tiles and they are not level and some are coming loose. I hope you lighten up a bit with your O.C but I know where your coming from. T.C

However, can we request that you make a follow up video on how you did all these details to help us in our house and construction design esp yung straight edges ng walls and corner edges. We are currently renovating our home. Thank you po. 1. corners and edges must be straight 2. for greater emphasis, add accents when transitioning from one element to another (wall (shadow gap), floors, etc.)
