I made one of these for the hedgehogs in my garden and as soon as I put the food in it my neighbour's cat jumped over the fence, got in it and started eating. Going to try making the concrete slab and brick version to see if that's more secure.

Yes cats are very clever and gat into feeding stations of all designs I have tried , make a u tube at the entrance!

My cats would be able go get into this, you seem to underestimate the determination to get food.

A cat still got in mine despite putting a tile porch on as well.

Nice features, but how do you rodent-proof the design?

Made one like this, certainly stopped the cats feeding but unfortunately the Magpies soon found it and kept eating all the food. 🤔🤔

I'm the same. Their comical to watch and we have 6 pairs everyday. They steal whole coconut halves from my feeder lol.

That is not cat proof, waste of time.

This is a really bad idea to make a hedgehog feeding station, as diseases and parasites will concentrate as well as animals. Please do not feed wild animals. Just provide water and shelter ! Slightly feeding hedgehogs is only necessary when it's snowing.

The hedgehog that keeps eating my dog's food everynight would say otherwise... he seems very hungry to me, hence why I'm here to hopefully create a safer space for him/her to eat.

The Carpenter's Daughter awe that's lovely. Suddenly I have noticed a hedgehog come into my garden now so I threw some cat biscuits out and he walked right up to them and started munching lol. The next night I put cat biscuits in a dish and left out some water and sat there and he appeared again. Every night now he comes and enjoys his food and doesn't even run away with me watching him. I bought him some hedgehog food, they are biscuits so I add a few cat biscuits to it too. He is a happy hedgehog. Ha. I get such joy knowing he won't go hungry x
