    It seems like it would make more sense to fold the fabric around the edge of the cap and secure it that way. Also, if you leave a little bit of extra headband loose, you could have that covering the thread/weft. Although I am not sure how I would do that myself.- perhaps stitch up through the inside top with a concealed stitch, tacking it here and there, through the cap and hair to hold the edge of the fabric down over the weft.

    Do you have to double the hair? I have a small head . Ive notice that if the wig is too thick i have to thin it out...well, i take it ti get thinned out..

    Oh okay I get you,,, There are some weaves that are thick at the edge those types of weave you don't have to double them but the ones that are thin you have to double the hair so the wig won't be scanty and lite. Because you said you have a small head you need to start with a single strand at the back, when you get to the middle double it. Two lines to finish, start adding 1strand of Hair.
