I'm pretty sure it's a magnet surrounded by copper and when the disc spins the copper goes around the magnet. Creating electricity. I think. So just do some research and if it's right you could re create it.

It's a hobby motor. Add electricy and it spins. Spin it and it makes electricity. All generators are just motors run in reverse
