Good luck finding the correct parts. You may find some useful items at shops like the DIY stores and Daiso of Japan located in some of the Philippine malls. Many simple projects I want to attempt for the same reason as you are on hold while we locate a reliable source of bits and pieces.

One thing I love about the wood gas stoves is it really doesn’t matter if it’s wood burning or not. Any combustible material that can burn can be easily used. That includes wood pellets and some brands of dry dog food. The nice thing about using wood pellets and dry dog food is that they can also be packed away fairly easily so they don’t get wet that easily. Put some small quantities into a small dry bag or other container that can be used to store stuff away in a dry environment. I mean a 50 pound bag of dry dog food will go a long way in a wood gas type of stove. Put just enough wood pellets and / or dry dog food into the stove to just come short of the wood gas vents without covering any of them up. It allows you to get the very maximum amount of fuel inside your stove without choking it. You want them to be as loosely packed as possible. Remember that a wood gas stove is really meant to burn from the bottom to the top so the fuel needs to have gaps in it so that it can get air from both the top and bottom.

One other way to get either of the wood pellets or dry dog food going quickly is to put a small amount of them in the bottom of the stove. Put some kind of hallow spacer in the center. You’ll be pulling it out later. Put your accelerate in the bottom of this hole. Why shouldn’t regular charcoal lighter fluid work? Cover it up to just below the wood gas holes. Wait about 30 seconds or better and light it. Remember it’s the fumes from the charcoal lighter fluid that needs to get through the surface of the wood gas pellets. This should have them going off through the core of the wood pellets and burning from top and bottom at the same time. The only other thing that could help with its not getting its wood gas vents put out is angling the holes, so the gas on one hole intersects the gas of the other. Have them angled just enough, so if one vent goes out and it gets reignited by its neighbor.

dry dung can also be burned. herbivores cant fully digest fibrous material and their dry feces are used as fire fuel all over the world. The LOFI stove burns sheepdung for example.

Ever thought of trying dry dog food as a substitute for wood pellets? They should be a fine cheaper alternative to wood pellets. You could mix them together as an alternative should one become more scarce and expensive.

The only times I have used a stove outside was when climbing. Dig a hole, make a perpendicular channel form it and dada you have a stove, burns anything, stays lit even when windy. Now you can enjoy a ton of space, you can bring something delicios or more warm socks. *you can carry dry food in plastic bottles, even canned food like chopped beef/pork ;) => even more space ;)

If you were to place a disc of hardware cloth on top of an X made of a couple of pieces of steel with notches cut to make them such that they stand on their long edges and interlock in the middle, or on a circle of metal that’s Big enough to easily support the weight of the fuel on the hardwardware cloth, fitted roughly to the size of your inner can/burn chamber, Your fuel would stay off the bottom of your burn chamber, and not choke off the air supply.❤️

So there is quite a big gap between the can walls like 3/8 of an inch gap.. My 3lb Kirkland is Decaffinated Dark Roast - Fine Grind with bar code 96619 46242. The "Best before' date on the bottom is 04/29/23. My Starfrit Tool Crock label says height 7 diameter 5 inch with.bar code 69858 94287.
