    I had a cat for over 13 years that looked just like Chica. Tyler was older when we got him and he was previously declawed. He could climb trees and take down rabbits his own size. Wonder kitty! He had tatooed numbers in his ears. He may have been an experiment animal. Nothing could put him down not even coyotes until he got throat cancer. 😢

    Nice video. I’m new subscriber here. I have a cat that likes to get in my videos too. His names Gus. I’ve never tried annealing or softening silverplate forks. I always thought that it would mess up the silver plating on the surface. I’ve made many fork bracelets with the tines intertwined like yours. Have you ever tried electrolysis to replate your flatware? I’ve been thinking about looking into it as I can smooth a tine that gets a little chewed up but then the silverplating sometimes looks bad. Thanks for sharing!

  • @JustJani

    Hi, Sorry for such a late reply. You can overdo it with the annealing and ruin your silver plate. Use the "sharpie trick" and they should be annealed just right. I have never tried to re-plate my silverware, but I saw a video where a lady did hers with a homemade set up. Hers came out great.

  • @JustJani

    @JustJani

    Hi, A torch like mine is probably not safe for an apartment since it has a fairly large gas tank. There are smaller torches that will work as well. Look for a “jewelry torch” online. Good luck and have fun!

    I don’t remember the model number of mine. The kit does come with the white nylon blocks. You buy an arbor press (mine is from Harbor Freight) and you replace the ram with the one in the kit. Their website is: flatwearable.net/

    Thanks for your videos. You do a great job explaining. Do you have to use silver plate forks for fork jewelry? Would stainless steel work or is it to hard to bend stainless

  • @JustJani

    @JustJani

    Thank you! There are many people that use stainless. I don’t use it just because I like the look of silver plate. I would anneal the stainless to make it easier to bend. Good luck and have fun!

    @@JustJani thanks for the reply 👍. I have tons of stainless..I do have a fair amount of silver plate..just thought I might practice first on the stainless..I wonder if you heat stainless first if it's easy to clean up afterwards..again thanks for sharing. @@walkinghorsejones Pretty sure it cleans up just the same as silver plate. I run mine in a tumbler. Some makers only polish and buff. Let me know what you try and how it works for you.
