Fantastic video! Been following you for years! Thank you for making me a better quilter! 💕 You’re a fantabulous teacher and great company in my sewing room🥰
I so enjoy your teaching method. re geese blocks: I found out the hard way (by un-sewing) that I needed to sew just to the side of the diagonal line, not directly on it. You are the first teacher to point that out to students. Thank you, Janet in Houston
When I make flying geese I mark a second line a half an inch towards the corner. I then sew on both lines and cut between the two seams. That way I have two half square triangles made from what would have been waste. Another great tutorial!!
The best flying geese tutorial I’ve found. Saved to my favorites!
Thank you Laura. Your video was so helpful. I finally was able to make beautiful flying geese by following your tips. I love your videos because you speak slowly and cover everything necessary to simplify the process.
Thank you! Great tip about sewing just on the other side of the line. One of my favorite blocks!

it is a great block!
I wanted to find out how many of this block would I need to make a lap size quilt. I'm newish to quilting and wanted to make one for my sister. The block seems fairly easy to piece by hand. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for the comment "to sew inside the drawn line". I couldn't get 1/4" at top.
Love it
Smart pattern
Flying around the block! 😂 Sounds like a Mom when were asking our kids, where were you? 😂 Thanks Laura. I will give it a try.

Precioso trabajo ,cual son las medidas del rectángulo y del cuadrado
I’ve been looking into making a bunch of flying geese and unlike what you mentioned, everyone says the f.g. Block’s height should be half the width of the rectangle, yours wasn’t and wondering what is the difference in them. I see yours turned out okay, but I see that “rule” all the time. Anyhow, I guess it doesn’t make much of a difference. Th you for the tutorial.
HELP. I am just learning how to do flying geese and I am not sure what i am doing wrong. Mine seem to be as they should be and I keep the point at the top fine with the 1/4” seam allowance but I am not sure how to keep the other 2 points when the blocks are sewn together. When I watch this video of the joined blocks it seams to me that there is a gap at the bottom between the goose and the sky which mine don’t have so when I join them together I loose the point. 😢sorry if I am being a bit dense but any help would be apreciated
What color is the black? I would like to buy it
