Tim, I caved in. For now, I used a spline and jig to keep the spline relatively tight. This permitted me to have good tight fishtail weave finished with a Lan;yard knot. John

There is actually a nicer way to end the weave. Do the last weave but leave a little loop at your las working string (left or right, whatever would be the last). Then start a new weave but just on one side, then pull the cord thru the loop you left earlier. Kinda hard to explain but that way you have a really nice finish, plus both cord ends can be synged on the backside, giving the weave a perfect look.

If I try to tie anything else other than a cobra weave, it never turns out. It always runs long. If I want one to be 9 inches, it elongates to 11 inches. I did a fish tail weave bracelet. It turned out be long.

Make sure you tie it tightly and properly snip and singe the ends. Also press down the melted ends so they are secure.

So, "tightly" ended up being the operative concept for me. Like I said, the knot kept coming undone. Eventually I used pliers to pull on the ends and that got it tight enough to stay knotted.

It would be a lot easier to follow you if your hands weren't in the way so much. LOL! But seriously, I started this maybe six times and still can't follow what you're doing. I have to find another person to watch...

Problem with your video 7:53 and 11:27, look at the circular loop at the top of the bracelet, in the earlier frame the olive cord cannot be seen wrapped around the burgundy but in the later frame it magically reappears...

It's not confusing At all it's probably more easier than any other kind of pattern for paracord bracelets.
