This is exactly how I'd imagine Rust characters to build their weapons. DIY king!

I tried to Rust cosplay once. Turns out the convention center won't let a naked man with a double barrel shotgun in no matter how loud he screams and lays on the ground.

All you complainers ... He just showed you how to do it ... All you have to do is use different materials ... Simple locking mechanism for the barrels ... Spring loaded striker and trigger ... All he did was use crapola materials to get by the censors ...

立黄 There aren't many regulations in the U.S. on manufacturing your own weapons. I belive his gun would fall under the AOW class in which he just applies for a 5 dollar tax stamp (or something like that )

no, a classic double barrel can either shoot both barrels independently, like for hunting deer while others can fire both barrels at the same time like for hunting bison or alligator

If you want your hand files to last longer, push in the direction it grinds and lift it off, reset and repeat. Back and forth motion will wear them out faster.

derp ish yes, but please refrain from doing so unless you know what you're doing. Guns are simple machines at their core, but dabbling in this kind of thing with no knowledge of the subject is a sure fire way to end up in the hospital, or even dead.

If you ever make a real one, and anyone thinking about it, make sure that one trigger pull does not equal both chambers firing. This will classify your weapon as a machine gun, smack you with a felony charge of manufacturing a a title 3 weapon, and put years of your life under lock and key

A common fix is two have 2 separate triggers that release 2 seperate chambers. Another fix is to have the trigger alternate, one trigger pull fires left, next trigger pull fires right. Reload, repeat

alan molloy if you were to make a functional one of these I don't think you would need to worry about the laws pertaining to class 3 firearms I mean look at that arsenal 1911 with two barrels it fires two bullets with one trigger pull so I think as long as you don't try to make a legit full auto firearm you should have nothing to worry about.

alan molloy thats not even close to being true dude.... a machine gun is a self reloading fire arm that doesnt stop firing and reloading then firing again untill the trigger is released. do you know how many guns have that exact design and are legal today without having to registering it as full auto? these shotguns are even legal in california that fire both barrels with one trigger pull. you need to do some research into firearms before you start spouting off that nonsense. also its called CLASS 3 not title 3.

i think the breach lock mechanism is not properly desined. it is locked only by one side. The Explosion will open the leveraged one sided lock for sure. Normals shotguns have a hooktype mechanism on the upper side.

You need to make one that shoots shotgun shells, that'd be sick. Anyways cool video dude!

They probably got ideas from Metro as a shotgun to build off of, but used different materials and a different design, implying Rust's shotgun is much more improvised, using random metal pipes and even a screwdriver, and a lower grade of craftsmanship

Looks like with some polishing and refeinment this could actually be used as a functioning weapon almost, no guarantee it won't blow up in you're face the second you pull the trigger however
