I had a friend give me this wire spool and i needed a bench for our backyard shooting range. these are very big and pretty sturdy so i gave it a try. follow along and build your own stuff as well.

Thank you
Good job! I like the way you used the cutout as a seat, I’m going to do that too.

Thanks. It works good.
I put lockable castors under mine. So I can roll it out of the way. And it keeps the bottom from sitting on the ground/concrete. Hopefully helps keep rot away too. Awesome vid!

very good idea! thanks!
Great idea. I actually have one of these just covered with crap as a bench. And was going to make a bench from scratch. But this serves multiple purposes and it will be perfect. Just got to figure out what to do with everything I had on top. lol. Awesome that your boys want to help like they do!

Appreciate it. They enjoy projects. This bench has been great. Still using it regularly. Hopefully you will find somewhere for your stuff and get yours built as well. Lol.
That's pretty cool shooting bench/ table.

They are handy.
Great idea, Jack. I'm currently using a wire spool as my shooting bench, however, the round sides are not made from wood, they're made from thick plastic which are not the thickness of your wood cut-out. I've thought of several designs to use and I haven't made the final decision yet b/c once you cut it, there's no turning back. 😄 I just had to commend you for such a neat design and usage of all existing materials. Have a fine week. Enjoyed a full-watch. 👍🏽🤠 1/23/23

Thanks for watching. I’m sure you’ll come up with a great design idea. Good luck
Hello, I live in Scotland UK and I’ll be honest and admit this is the first video of yours that I’ve seen. However, I’ve got to say that this is one of the coolest ideas Ive ever seen! I absolutely love the shooting bench and the way you’ve done the seat too! Looks class! Nice to see your boys getting involved too and not like other kids who just play video games. Great job brother! Tom

Make it happen. We love ours.
Found a guy selling these spools in my area for $20 each. Think I'll buy them all and make some money

Sounds like a good plan. Don’t be afraid to donate some of it back to the jack daddy fund! 😂 lol
Can you tell me what size spool that is

I’m not real sure. I can measure it tomorrow but I think it’s around 6ft across
