How to make a cutting board

These cutting boards are sweet! I'll take you step through the prosses of making them. I'll give you a secret to selling a few more boards than you might normally sell. Cutting boards are great sellers and have a good profit margin in my opinion. 80% of cutting boards sold, are gifts.

They turned out very nice. I'm staying away from cutting boards and charcuterie boards There seems to be far to many selling them, knocking the price down more than I care to go. Best of luck to you selling them, hope you can get a decent price for them! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family Mike. Have high expectations for your channel in 2022.

Great looking boards Mike! I thought about making some boards myself, but never have. Heck, I even bought a board kit long ago as I didn’t want to invest in the material and have several boards on hand. Yes, I could probably sell them, but the area where I live, everyone wants a deal and I’m simply not willing to invest the time for little profit. If I had a KZread channel, I guess I would make boards for the channel. Best of luck to you in 2022, and have a Merry Christmas!

Really nice boards, great job. I'm getting a table saw for Christmas and between you and Matt, boards are quickly moving up my list of things to try out. Interesting to see both finishes on the board, usually you just see one or the other. Is the idea that oil penetrates and conditions, then the wax repels water and helps the oil last longer? I guess if you use oil first maybe you don't need to reapply the wax as often?

Thanks John. I think maybe making a bunch of littler cuts may give you an octagon, but would be easier to sand. I'm not totally sure. Thinking maybe faster speed on the blade but slower cut. I may have to look into this more. Thank you for watching and your comment. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
