Dude I'm 99.9% sure that you've probably considered setting up an online store for you to sell your own products, just for them to be PnP for people who don't have the skills or the time to create and follow your tutorials for everything you've taught us already. If you ever choose to do so I WILL DEFINITELY become a recurring customer of yours. Keep up the great content👏🏼👍🏼

Thanks so much for watching and that's awesome! Did you have fun getting things going?!
I have watched a few dozen of your videos and find you and the videos very helpful and a bit inspiring. I just made a couple of these and overall I'm pleased. My only concern is that the light is much dimmer on the top compared to the bottom. My muzata acrylic had paper covering both sides, one labeled frosted, one smooth. I put the vinyl on the smooth side, would the frosted side offer better light dissipation? Thanks for all you do!
Great video . . I'd like to know more about what kind of opaque vinyl you used for the cutouts / where to buy it
Pro tip. When using the transfertape, peel it of by an angle less than 30 to make the vinyl stay on the transfertape, the same applies when trying to let the vinyl stick onto the plate, there you need to use an angle higher than 90 degrees

Can you do more videos on how you use your cricut maker for LED projects? I finally took the leap and bought one.
Thanks for this informative video. Where did you place the controller and cables in the final product?
Great video, I would love to see some wire management content as well so I can get a better idea on how you're hiding all the blocky wire connections.

Thanks so much for watching! Yeah for these I just had everything shoved behind for taking pictures. Not elegant or finished at all. Once I find a nice place for them in my house I'll try to do a follow up video on how to hid things as best as possible!
Amazing video, originally started following you because of your Soldering Tutorial, always love your content. I don't see it listed in the parts list (unless I missed it) but was it just normal plexiglass you used to attach the vinyl too?
Very Nice!. wondering if you could run it off solar?
Great stuff!!

Incredible project! Please keep us update if you ever hear about a sale on these Muzata diffusers. I thought they were extremely cool but a bit spendy when you first reviewed them and they've gone up an additional $25 since then ($20 per foot).

Thanks as always for watching buddy! Yeah spendy for sure! I'll keep an eye on things and let you know! It does look like they are currently on sale for 69 instead of the 79 they were a couple days ago when I checked. amzn.to/3XwuDzg
Suggestion for you on vinyl removal. Put on the transfer tape, then flip it over, and remove the backing from the vinyl. Get it started and then hold the transfer tape flat and pull/roll the backing off.

Do you know how far the light will travel through the acrylic?? Was thinking it would be cool to use the aluminum channel but scale it up with 4x8 sheets of plexi and do a full wall.. Thoughts??
i like this, my neighbor throws christmas parties every year. i mader her a sign out of wood and some leds that ran off of batteries. my second design i was wanting to do was acrylic and leds i wanted to do a arrow point in the direction of where they parked with it flashing lights and the lettering flashing. i wonder how if i could achieve it with this?

Thanks so much for watching and great question! I still have yet to dive into the portable power for led lights. Its for sure on my project to do list and I hope to get to it sooner rather than later! As far as push buttons, I also have not experimented with that but I know this video does go into the button capabilities of WLED: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f2iBmdOoqJXgds4.html
hi Will this product also be available on the uk or de amazon page???? ☺️
WOW...they look cool. On a side note that blade is definitly the wrong type. Needs be a higher tooth count. But if it works it works
Did "Displate Lumino" do something similar? I wish I could do one myself.
Do you do custom orders?
How much would you charge to make one for a customer?
Please tell me is it possible to achieve the same effect with sanding the transparent plexi, because i cant fint translucent plexi in my country.
I had this idea for making a coffin with the misfits and crimson ghost on it. You think that would be possible?

Ho can I buy this Edge Lit Diffuser Profile in UK ,it's not available on their website only for the US and Ca , they not do shipping to UK ,it's any other way to buy it any other website?
Amazing video as usual! With small projects like this will I need individual esp32 boards if there will be multiple small sections pretty close to each other? Sorry a complete Noob
@ChrisMaherDIY
8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! No, you could use 1 esp32. You can use different pins on the board to go to the different strips. I made a video not too long ago going over how this works that you can check out! kzread.info/dash/bejne/jK6dl7eCd9G_YqQ.htmlsi=0ZPs_CuGbzxQNUBn
If you split the 4ft into 3 diff sections does each section require its own controller or can they be wired together?
@ChrisMaherDIY
Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! You can wire them together if you like or you can run them separately to different pins on the esp32 to be controller that way. You don't necessarily need to use different controllers if you don't want to! Hope that makes sense!

@@ChrisMaherDIY thanks for responding another question I have is have you thought to make a larger framed sign with a frosted acrylic surface? Like a 24x16 or 24x 48
This comment is completely unrelated to the video. But I wanted to Ask, I'm looking to add at wall lights to my Govee TV backlight, and your DIY Govee M1 are incredible! But before buying, can you achieve that amount of detail and connect precisely the way you did to the TV using Govee's wall glide? Is it a better choice? Because they are on discount right now and it will save me the struggle of the craftwork. Thank you.
@ChrisMaherDIY

You can for sure use the glide and it works very similar. I believe the glide allows you to assign up to 6 zones. You can always buy both, see what you like best and return the one you don't use. I do that a lot :)

I've looked a little bit and have not found anything like this product. I am kindof faced with the same challenges you have since I would have to order things from the European amazon to test out and thats hard for me to do. I'll let you know if I do ever come up with something that is just as good!
What did you do for Cord management? 😬
@ChrisMaherDIY
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and great question! I didn't really do anything for this video. It was just more setting them up and hiding things behind the signs so that I could take some nice pictures and videos. If I were to lets say put this on a wall, I would just run the wires down the wall (using some track cable concealer) and then probably just hide the power supply and controller behind something (plant, electric fireplace, or anything in the room) I think its too much work to try putting wires behind the wall so options are somewhat limited!
