How to make a Corn Dolly for Lammas, Mabon, Samhain, Magical Crafting, Witchcraft Corn Husk Doll DIY
In this video I show you how to make a corn dolly for your altar or sacred space, and to celebrate the harvest. Let’s do some magical crafting.
Traditionally, the spirit of the grain lives in the fields with the crops. And so it is that once all the crops are brought in, she no longer has a home. And so we use the last sheaves that were reaped, to make a corn dolly to embody and honor her spirit. I will keep her warm and safe in a place of honor in my home all winter.

Awww I didn’t know you could paint them, it looks beautiful. This is going to be my first Mabon and Samhain and I want to celebrate each holiday seasonally so I can’t wait to make my own! Thank you for the inspiration, it’s very beautiful. I hope you and your family are well and best wishes lovely~ 🌻❤️✨
I will be making one of these for my granddaughter for Christmas!!!! Thank you so much for the video. I chuckled about the Irish and was almost heartbroken about burning or burring the doll.
Beautiful corn doll and I love the tradition! Thank you for this video on how to make one! 😇♥♥♥♥♥♥
Blessed Be sister! Your way is SO much simpler than the dolly's I've been struggling with! Thank you and your video is outstanding, easy to follow, to the point, informativeand soothing.
Hi. I think shes beautiful. I used to make corn husk dolls many yrs ago. The ones i made had the puffy long sleeves. That can be a chore cause they kept splitting but finally i would get it done. I love the wheat you put on her apron i think that does her justice. Thank you for sharing this video i loved it.
Beautiful!!! I also make a corn dolly during mabon-tide. I call it the Harvest Queen and it's part of my practise for Panenka.
I'm going to make one today for Mabon 🧡
Lovely 😍
This is such a lovely tradition! It’s the end of corn season where I live (NJ- don’t judge because we have some of the best corn on the cob!) so I plan on making this a project for the week. Thank u so much for sharing :)
Beautiful I love your doll and I can't wait to make. 💞💞thank u
Fascinating 👍👍👍👍
Thank you for sharing. This was very informative for a newbie such as me. I will be making a corn husk dolly of my own.
I feel in love with your doll. thank you for sharing. I just made it she is great i cant wait to make more....
So Beautiful. Will be Making One. I Love It 😍💕
Thank you for this wonderful video. I just shucked some fresh corn, and I love getting my materials for free -- there's something very satisfying about using up what you already have. I also followed your tutorial for making a cleansing broom, and foraged for pine needles and twigs. It came out great, and was a very relaxing project and easy to do. I appreciate all your efforts to share your knowledge and ideas with others.
Fabulous tutorial 🧡💛❤
I love watching but I am one of the “crafting fail” people!🖤

Beautiful doll! Thank you so much for sharing.
My corn did not do too well this year, but it tried. I will probably make a corn dolly from the leaves of my corn plants when i bring them in for decoration and the corn for my hens.
I love your voice 😊❤
Looks so lovely dear sister - thank you for share ..enjoyed to watch the process of your creation very much
She’s beautiful! Could you use wheat for her her or would that not work? Thank you for sharing 😀
this is so cute do you think i could put a small gem in her "heart"
How do you dry the corn husks?
Imma put sunflower seeds for mine eyes
Cool! But I'd use fabric instead of corn husks because i don't know where I'd get them from.

You can easily purchase them in The Mexican cooking section at any Walmart. They are used for making tamales.
Wow, this is really beautiful, would it be possible to make it out of biodegradable materials (sewing with cotton thread rather than hot glueing for example) and then burying it in the spring?
