What about the mixing on this beat?

why is that when i record a sample in edison, it measures about -6db then i save the sample for later use. but when i use the saved sample it only measures -12 db, becomes really weak. is that normal? i have nothing on the master track. its almost the same thing when exporting out of fl studio, the output is weak and sounds different when inside fl. Dope video bro, but how do you get your 808s to sound so juicy, I've watched all your 808s videos but still i cant get to sound good on lower notes. Always have to put them one octave higher cause they go nuts if i don't. Is it sth to do with the ones i have, should i buy one 808s pack or is it something else? I would really appreciate a video explaining how to get the 808s not to suck on lower notes.

jaime martin honestly it’s probably gonna be a sample issue, this 808 is the spinz 808, you can get it for free. One of the most common 808’s. 99% of the time A is going to be the lowest note that sounds good before it turns to dust haha. You can utilize saturation to get some upper harmonics. Make sure to have cut itself on for your 808s, and then you need to make sure your melodies have EQ space for the 808 to shine

Dude. How did you do that with FL Keys? Did you basically load up the sample within FL Keys? I have to admit, I havent used FL Keys at all. I've just been using FL for 2 months. I'm making good progress but I'm still testing the waters with all types of music 😁👌

Max Morlock I just opened FL keys , went through piano roll and followed along by ear. The flute sample was playing on its own outside of fl keys. Hopefully that makes sense
