I can’t believe the negative comments. Your arrangement was lovely and I learned so much. No wonder florist charge so much. Their art is time consuming and expensive 🌹❤️

Thanks you so much for your sweet words. My hearts intent is to show others that they themselves can create something beautiful :)
Love your arrangement. One of the prettiest I've seen plus excellent tutorial. No gab and blab with distracting hellos to everyone and their brother. Great teacher. Very creative style.
I like the camera angle because we can see what you are actually doing. Thanks for telling where u got the items and prices that is very helpful. Very pretty
This is gorgeous. I love the different greens. It really makes it look natural.

I love the way you mixed lots of different types of greenery. It looks very natural and not so structured like a lot I’ve seen. I learned lots of new tips. I love the soft fern over the rose. 💐

I've found if you spray scotch guard on your arrangements they won't fade and they will turn water. Arrangement is very beautiful.

Thanks Yoong, :)
That is absolutely gorgeous. The peachy cream roses look perfect. I am making one for my son’s grave and I know how long it takes to make a really nice one. I like the extra wide width of that saddle. I could only find the narrower one but it does the job.

This is pretty but I would want more flowers in it for my taste and a little less greens. You do explain things well. Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks Lisa. That’s what I love about creating - everyone’s taste is different so it is so much fun to be able to make it to fit your own style and color scheme
This is such a lovely feminine saddle. I really like the use of different greens ... it gives the piece an airy feel with dimension. Thank you for sharing -- I have been looking for a saddle tutorial for ages :)
In England we don’t have these cemetery saddles, I love it, my dad hasn’t got his headstone yet, but as soon as he is all settled I am definitely going to make him one of these. It’s beautiful.

This is so pretty!!! Thank you for the tutorial it is great!!
What I do to help with turning around the piece as I work I place my saddle on a large lazy Susan. This makes it so much easier to turn around so you can see all sides when needed.
It turned out lovely. I like it.
Very beautiful arrangement, also like the way everything is explained. Thanks!

Dorothy, I would imagine that it could most definetly work if stablized properly. I have reworked the "saddle frame" to fit some of my other desired floral needs.
When do u know u need to add the pick to the green pieces?
Keep on working and you’ll get it.

What size is the foam that you used on your saddle.
How is the saddle attached to the headstone? Very beautiful arrangement!!
@petalsandpaintdesigns
3 жыл бұрын
Hello Louise the saddle itself has ribbed attachments on it but if you are looking for a more permanent solution Graveside Flowers sells a product that will anchor your flowers to a headstone in a way that is completely hidden from view, won't damage the stone, will hold up to a strong wind, is made from aluminum, so it won't rust...and doesn't cost that much more than a roll of duct tape. This innovative headstone flower arrangement anchor (pictured to the right) retails for $14.99 and makes a perfect, and permanent, solution to the problem of securing flowers on top of a grave marker. It can be found here: www.gravesideflowers.com/products/headstone-anchor
How do you know where to place the greenery? How to know where to stagger them.

Such a great question - you want to do your best to cover the majority of your base. I would do a rough layout of where I thought my florals would go. If you have holes once you are done you can always go back and fill in. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Where do you get the "picks"?
@petalsandpaintdesigns
4 жыл бұрын
Hi there Liz, by "picks" are you referring to the ones used with the stemming pic machine: www.hobbylobby.com/Floral-Wedding/Floral-Supplies/Wire-Tools/Steel-Floral-Picks/p/5231 Or are you referring to a wooden pick that you can use to extend your florals and help attach something to your piece if so, here is an example, most craft stores and even dollar tree typically sell these. I know Amazon carries them as well: www.michaels.com/6in-wired-wood-picks-by-ashland/10302745.html I hope this answered your question ~ if not, let me know. Thanks for watching and for asking the question as I am sure there are others wondering the very same thing ~ if you give this a try let me know, I'd love to see your creation :)
How much would u sell this for?
This is great! But do you also have a video showing how to make the bow? I have my arrangement finished but I don't know how to make a bow.

With it being outside, how does the ribbon hold up under wind and rain?
@petalsandpaintdesigns

Great question!! Try to pick a durable weather resistant ribbon and of course you want to make sure that you anchor all your ribbon very well.
What is the tool that you put the greenery to have a pick called?
@petalsandpaintdesigns

Hi Lorraine, it’s called a greenery pic machine - here is an example: www.walmart.com/ip/Burton-Burton-Green-Iron-Stemming-Machine/421108014?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=876&&adid=22222222227084152625&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=315951881902&wl4=aud-430887228898:pla-314690014210&wl5=9002456&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=112561772&wl11=online&wl12=421108014&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAiAjeSABhAPEiwAqfxURYy9IVwMPa76Zfzq6VGIihne8oVol9VgTdjmt40nw5PBdk7XNlBrSxoCo6cQAvD_BwE

Thank you! My father and husband are side by side at our cemetery... Never knew what these grave toppers were called. I would like to make a matching set for both of their monuments May I ask if there is any chance of damage or discoloration to the monument? Question #2 It is extremely windy and I was wondering if they would stay secure? Thank you and your creation is lovely. Thank you for taking the time to walk us through step by step. God bless you 🙂

Mimi’s MEGA LIFE - thank you so very much for your sweet kind words.No damage or discoloration to the monument. As far as the wind goes there are weights that are sold to hold the saddle to the monument w/out damage as well. I will find the link and leave it in a follow up comment here for you as well. God bless you as well😊
I really wish you had shown how to make the now 😕
