I'm a 69 year old lady who goes camping at least every other weekend. Been doing that ever since I found out I could get a senior lifetime pass through the COE camping sites. Great discount! I keep all my gear , except food, in my SUV throughout the year. I set everything up by myself because my fur babies don't have thumbs LOL. My friends aren't into camping like me because THEY ARE OLD in spirit LOL 😂.

The green propane bottles are "refillable." You can get the adapter to connect them to a 20lbs propane tank (back yard grill style) and then you pay like $20-30 to refill that tank and fill around 20 of the green cans. Saves green cans going in the land fill and you save like $6/bottle in propane cost. I 3D printed some caps that say full and used so i know which of mine are full and haven't looked back :)

@@WhereWeWild biggest thing is putting the empty bottles in the freezer for a bit before filling and record the weight of a new bottle on the bottle, that way when you fill them you know what weight to aim for

Not if they do not specific state on the bottle they are refillable. Manufacturers do make refillable fuel canisters, they cost more but are engineered with thicker walls and bottom to handle the varying pressures of multiple uses. I’ve seen the nonrefillable canisters explode/burst when someone refilled one-it sent shrapnel all over! 😮

Keep the threads/ends covered from moisture as once they rust they'll clog your foamed brass flash back arrestors in your stoves/heaters etc. Good idea on the 3d print caps. I know the brass caps are spendy and the plastic are so-so and always get lost/tossed anyway.

Just note; the bigger the bin, the more you’ll want to fill up all of that space. Which ends up making the bin very heavy. I would suggest that once you dial in the absolute necessities for a particular bin category; buy a bin that is just big enough for the items to fit. Maybe only slightly larger. Great video! Keep em’ coming.

So funny we were just talking about that! 😃 Great little trick to keep you from overpacking! Then on the other hand, if you’re driving up to a site you don’t really have to carry anything a long way so it’s also nice sometimes to just have that extra space in case you want to bring extra stuff like for a guest or whatever. That’s what’s cool about it also, it’s really just up to the individual to dial it in however it works best for them and their family or for the space they have in their car. 😊🤙🏽 And thanks so much! We really appreciate it! ☺️

Thank you for all your tips and hacks. Most of the items you have suggested are in my amazon cart already!😂 love the camping and fishing aspect (love fishing myself). Awesome welcome to the channel! So glad the videos are helping you out! 😃 And sweet! Fishing is my passion and a big part of this channel. It’s just the best. 🎣❤️😎🤙🏽 As far as the dishes go while camping, which I’m sorry we didn’t mention in this particular video, but if you look in our Amazon shop (link is in the video description) in the camp kitchen section you will find collapsible wash basins and Dr. Bronner’s soap. That is the best way we have found to wash our dishes out there. Lol sorry to add more items to your Amazon cart 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 but that works really well as the soap is better for the environment and those collapsible basins save space. 😊 Thanks for the nice comment and for the support we really appreciate you watching. ☺️🤙🏽

@WhereWeWild I use the parchment to wrap my dinners in. I make little packets. Individual meals. And then 2 layers of HD foil. I can cook the meal in the coals, on the grate sort of offset from the flames, or even inside the Dutch oven. The parchment paper keeps the food moist, wayyyyyy less sticking to the inside of the foil, easier clean up. Sometimes I cut the packet open down the middle (like a foil wrapped baked potato) eat right put of the packet. Bonus is the parchment paper will burn pretty easily after dinner and the foil can be recycled because it doesn't have chunks of my meal stuck to or burned on it.
