You are the most beautiful soul,❤ sharing your unique talent I am in awe of you, Traci. I'm 64 yrs old and just retired to concentrate on my bag making and I love Op shopping today I found a very unique leather jacket with bat sleeves (I'm keeping this one) for $15 Oz dollars what a bargain and beautiful reds and greens brocaide pillow slips that I'm going to make this style. You have been my bag maker idol now for many years, and I thank you so much for giving me the confidence to do this. I knew I had it in me. I just didn't know where to start. As I said before, please make a Facebook book page so we can share our creations if you don't want to operate it I will. I just hope one day to meet you and thank you for changing my life ❤❤❤❤ps I'm in the middle of making a scarf Traci style of course lol

Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial hun!!! You are such an inspiration!!! Can you believe I still haven't figured out how to use my sewing machine! I sew everything by hand as of right now. I have a tutorial I need to watch about how to use my sewing machine & I just need to sit down & finish it!! I really need a nicer machine so maybe one day soon I can get one. I'm piecing together a type of gypsy looking vest/kimono thing right now among putting fringe on crochet bags I've ordered & turning those into gypsy style bags kinda like yours. Thank you for all you do & showing us the ropes!!! Keep more tutorials coming! I'll watch every single one!!!

From Janice K Myers, I love your utoerials❤ It started at age of close to three years old at my lap. Of my mother came home from work & my grandmother had me on her lap & I was sewing stitches! She told her shes already struck her fingers & she's trying to avoid the sticks now. So I've been sewing for a long, long, long time!
You are truly gifted and talented your bags are so beautiful…I’m in Rancho Cucamonga Los Angeles California thank you for sharing 🥰

Btw: u have any pics of the purses u sold ? Basically your progression from beginning to end ? Looking back can you see a progression in your style ? Btw: I am very curious as to where u always find lace? You never have just regular basic lace , yours is beautiful and I can never find any & to be quite honest I’ve kept my eyes open for years and still nothing LOLOL.❤

I get most of my lace on ebay. I do have a photo progression of my purses. I can definitely see a difference. On Instagram I have a ton of pics, way down at the bottom are my beginning bags. On Instagram I am: traci_myers 🤗💖💖💖💖
Hi Traci! Have you ever done this with an existing handbag? I'm going to try it from scratch, but I have a couple of leather handbags that I'd like to upcycle too.

After watching some of your older videos, I actually made one similar to that with the velvet but my material was from a skirt and top set and it was very hard to work with but it was thin When I sewed it through the machine the material would shift some even if I had it pinned Do you have any advice on this? Ty in advance 😊
@tmyershandmade978
Жыл бұрын
You could back your fabric with medium weight fusible interfacing before cutting out the fabric pattern. I've sewn cotton fabric to thinner pieces before. Of course, you could try to find fabrics that aren't stretchy.🤗🤗🤗

@@tmyershandmade978 ok ty Yeah that last sentence 👌🏼💡 That’s exactly what I thought after all the trouble I was having with it I was like “why did I have to pick the worst fabric to work with for my first bag to try to make?!” 🤷🏻♀️😂 never using it again then-the fabric is gorgeous tho!

Hey Tracy ; with your new course ( courses ) are you going to offer a kit? So , basically all the student needs to do is literally FOLLOW ALONG STEP BY STEP bc everything needed for the course is in the box or just get everything needed on the list on their own ? ?! I use to order courses thru Craftsy and they offered this option and a pattern would automatically be shipped or PDF with the course . Now it wasn’t like that for every course but they did do that and then u either paid for the course alone and the pattern came with it and then they gave us a list of what we needed and we could go to the Craftsy shop and purchase the same products used as well . Possibly more of one thing verses another so the project didht turn out exactly the same . Anyhow u get the idea .

That's a brilliant idea. My courses are kinda on the back burner right now🤗💖💖💖💖
Can you wash and dry the wedding blanket just as normal? Does the velvet do okay? I just got one and I'm afraid to wash it. Thanks!! :)
@tmyershandmade978
Жыл бұрын
I washed mine in cold water and hung out to dry, but I am a risk taker! I have to warn you, the chenille fringe does not hold up well to washing. Dry cleaning would be costly, maybe hand wash?🥰💞💞💞
