It was beautiful, but very time consuming, economically unreasonable, and consumes a lot of elements. It takes up a lot of space, and it's a very common and unnecessary thing to do.

I absolutely loved it. I am definitely going to do this… Thank you!!
Impressive patience! It is a great example for trading cost with time. I would rather replace those breadboard circuits with custom made PCBs, it would greatly reduce the tedious wiring need/time at the cost of the PCBs and the less tedious PCB CAD design.
That is a perfectly done project. Congrats. Very informative and detailed explanations and really great patience, sir. I've saved that project for my time in retirement and I'll make it in a couple of months. Bravo.
Well done! I so admire people that do projects like this. It would be great if you could sell the wooden jigs - or indeed all components as part of a kit.

I wonder if there is a commercial Jig you can get to do this. I see the 16^3 arrays out there looking pretty impressive. If they sold these already prepped, I bet people would buy it...
ok i have decided to go with your guide for building my RGB LED cube. i have som experience with electronics and soldering, i have made some tesla coils and other projects but this is on another level. thank you for making this guide, i have ordered the parts ^^
Most complicated, most confusing, most amazing, most spectacular, most entertaining, most beautiful thing I have seen on KZread. Really like your patience

9:42 awesome jugaad 😀😀
Great project, I might try to replicate. However, few toughts: I would try to fit 4/8 channels on one board (maybe one/two boards for each color?) and make a backplane to fit the boards (with the node controller and power lines) . Do not fear to play with the placement of components and maybe try to use the components leads (resistors mainly) to save some wired connections. That way leave less room to errors. Nice layout of the boards, but in my opinion, could fit more circuits on one board.
You have done extremely good job, and can you please upload the anode & shift register board test code and schematic which you have used. Thanks
Excellent video Sir! A very labor intensive project that you were able to make each step very clear. Outstanding and thank you for sharing your expertise !!! WELL DONE!
Love the soldering Jigs.... I have tried soldering LEDs in a row, I never thought of this... 👍

I agree, I worked in electronics in the 90's and these are the sort of jigs clever folk came up with all the time. Great jig work I say 😁
You are a prototyping expert my friend.
You have Patience from other dimensional world🙏🏻
Wow! This is the best led cube I've seen. I wish there's a pcb layout for etching method and for easier way of making it. Thank you for this wonderful video sir!

Yes if there is a pcb layout then we can just send it to online pcb makers so it would take less space and we can put all into the wooden box
your solder ability, circuit designing and explanation step by step till completion is just superb, thanks for sharing.keep it up.

Fantastic project! An amazing amount of wiring! Why didn’t you make etched boards? Wouldn’t that reduce the soldering errors? I am amazed about the skills you have shown by making, troubleshooting, programming and finishing this cube! Great job!!!!!!
Respect for patience!
looks good.nice and straight.

hi, i am working on 8*8*8 normal led cube. can you tell me how to write "sine wave function"(ripple effect ) function .
Wow, this is really so well done and easy to follow. Thank you for making this video.
Impressive -- thanks for the step-by-step. I'd love to build one of those. Can you tell us more about the programming for the display activities?
The cube was always a great project but dude you could have saved more time and headache if you did each colour on 1 circuit board each, preferably "new" ones not used. All 8 channels would fit nicely on 1 board. So instead of having 7/8 boards you would have like 4. It would of saved you time and troubleshooting. Just watching the soldering of them gave me a stroke and I'm a electronics major. Overall good job.
Great work done by you, full support from Electronics Library

a query if I want to replace the transistor 2n3904 (of the platelets of the catados) with a transistor 2n 2222 could only change it or I also have to change the resistance of 1k and 100 ohms?

Can you please clarify if ALL shift registers (including the one on the ANODE board) feed their signal from Pin-9 to the following shift register? The reason I ask is that the schematic does NOT show the shift register on the ANODE board as being connected to the first BLUE cathode board. Also, the Arduino data pin shown on the schematic is NOT being bussed down to the first BLUE board so how does data get to the first BLUE board???
