I'm making a kindle sleeve with a bit of leftover galaxy themed fabric and foam. The padded sleeve is for a 6 inch kindle (approx 16 x 12 cm); or any e-reader that's about that size. It's really quite easy to make and a lovely diy gift. You just need some foam, glue (the iron-on foam would be even better!), funky fabric, and buttons/KAM snaps.
