I like these kind of 3d projects. Great video!
Wow! Excellent stuff as usual. Definitely gonna have to give this one a try... now to get a 3D Printer!
very nice project, congrat ! you helped me a lot for my button plate project
Please make a 2dof sim, this is the best DIY channel ever
Really nice work!
Try doing diy seat rumble please
Please more steering wheel videos!!!👌🏼
Always the best!!
Nice, now can we have some magnetic paddle mods for the G27/9 wheels? I'm sure you know how mushy and strange the paddles feel. Alternatively, could you do a guide to wiring the TM1836 displays (the one at 2:56) with Arduino nanos? I'd also like to see how you can connect buttons to the 8 button terminals at the bottom and get them working as well, so there is no need for 2 USB cables. Please, I know you've done a video on a TM1386, but that was a separate dash and I want to see how you could integrate it with the buttons so that the end result could look like this wheel and the TM1386 (In a way like the BMW Williams wheel of 2004 that Juan Pablo Montoya drove).
Amazing design!

Great project! How much infill density do you recommend for the base?
Nice, looks like the lower tier Formula #(number somthing i dont know) steering wheel in assetto corsa
Built this today with my little one. It is the perfect wheel for him since it's a little bit smaller in size than the Thrustmaster wheels I have.

Very cool
Did you run any simulation or force analysis to determine the support structure or thickness of material needed for stronger wheel bases?
YEAH!!! Another video! Please upload more frequently ;-) By the way what printer do you recommend for these projects? I think it should be pretty big....

You can but you need to sacrifice a current wheel to get the connectors and boards. Its a bit of effort but doable. Im also looking into tge blutooth connection set ups on the new dd and hoping to retro fit one to my 2.5 will post how it is done if i can get it working that way as it will be neater.

Great!!
Awesome can you do this with a Driftwheel like the BMW?
👍🏻 Nice
Could you make an f1 style clutch for the logitech g29? Its my dream.
i wonder if its possible to get a display mounted in the wheel to show you the speed, the gear and the rpm? it would be cool
Great video! You should do a Fusion360 tutorial of this!

Well done, but always with a Logitech Wheel base , how about DIY the hole thing 3d printed Keep up the good stuff
With which program or app did you do the pieces of the wheel. For the printer, because this is absolutely amazing.
Nice! Is this solid enough for heavy duty usage with 100 FFB ?
Very cool. Does the wiring work for a G-29 PS4 version?
Hi amstudio I'm considering making this rim. I use a 20nm mige motor direct drive wheel. Would you say it is strong enough for that or any advice to make it so. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Amazing work as always
I was thinking about doing something similar to this using a seperate logitech button cuircit board and then i can plug it into the actual wheel when i dont use the stock one so it looks cleaner, not sure if it will work though.
You know what would be great? A design for a single-axis F1 type magnetic shifter. So that you can up and downshift on both sides of the wheel!

Technically what is a WRC shifter paddle, yes I'd love to see him make one of them 👌
@rjl95
5 жыл бұрын
I think you mean the ones that don't have one central pivoting point? E.g. you could drive with 1 shifter paddle on one side. The F1 type have one shared axis in the center which they rotate around. So the left and right shifter meet in the middle basically.
@ALLRNDCRICKETER
5 жыл бұрын
@@rjl95 I get what you mean. I don't think it would be possible to 3d print a system something like what were saying, due to the face that there needs to be the wheel mounting point in the middle, plus on most F1 wheels they come above the wheel mounting, and are very thin. 3d printing something such as would no doubt break with wear and tear over time
@pirozcontractor6006

hello a change for the shift cams to drive with a hand that is my case thanks
Also I've finally finished your sequential shifter build, anyone suggest how to mount it???
Hi great video. Could i Ask is this diable on a ender 3 and is there aby difference to make IT compatible with thrustmaster
This is epic, but how do you set it up on the pc
Do you also add a front cover for a digital screen as well? I want to buy this project but I'm not sure about this detail.
Does anybody know if these mods will work with Mac computers? I just started my journey with SIM Racing and unfortunately I do have DiRT4 as well as 2017 F1 at this moment but not sure if I can apply any of modes from your channel. Great content one of the best and found it right away into recommendation!
Great video dude, i have a dead smartphone, is there a way to use the screen on my rig?
Would this fit onto the fanatec clubsport or podium wheel hub
Hi, thanks for your videos, what is the size of the wheel?
Could you please make a video on how to make like that drifting type steering wheel i need an idea for a wheel cus i am making totally diy steereng wheel and pedals.
Does the FFB remain unchanged with the adapter or is it slightly tamed?
Is there a usb port coming out of the steering wheel that you plug into your computer to make the buttons work?
how much does it cost? 3D printing, electronics, etc.
Hay manera de que el cable usb pase por adentro del volante o conectarlo con el mismo, ya que a la hora de enchufarlo el volante gira y se enredaría el cable
hey @amstudio! what size is the biggest part to be printed for completing this steering wheel? I'd plan to get the files and use my Anet A8 which has printing dimension of 22x22x24 cms but I expect it's a bit too small for the task, am I right or wrong? Thank you in advance and keep it up with those amazing works!
@amstudioprojects
5 жыл бұрын
The biggest part will easily fit on the A8.
For anyone that has tried, will this work for PS4 on F1 and GranTurismo? Thanks. Also, what would the ten buttons be used for?
Is it possible print anything to use it on a fanatec base without the universal hub?
Hey amstudio and comment section wondering if it is possible for some of the projects like the F1 wheel is able to upload the code from a PC and then use it on a console (Xbox one).
hey amstudio- i have a question with the usb joystick boards- they say they have 12 buttons- can you make more- using the up , down , left, right? and if so- is it straightforward?
Sooooo this is sturdy for hard core racing?
Awesome waw
Idk how I’m so late finding these tutorials but after seeing how long they’ve been up I have to ask.. would you be willing to revisit these projects in an attempt to make some DIY wheels that’ll be compatible with MOZA bases?
Fantastic job!!! I was thinking about doing something simular myself. But being a noob without much free time this is fantastic. I bought the plans and want to alter the button cover in fusion 360 but i am struggling to convert it so i can edit it in fusion 360. Is there a possibility to get the .f3d file of this part? It would make my life a whole lot easier. Thanks again, love your work.

I am disabled using hand control for the gas/brake. Do you have steering wheel with shifters and gas/brake (clutches like)?
Is it possible to change the g29 quick release and put an thrustmaster adaptater for t300rs ?
Hello, awesome videos, you are very talented, may you tell me if you really used that chinesse filament from BG to make that pieces? Im looking for a good quality and cheap filament, and your prints looks really great. What brand of filament did you used? Thanks in advance!
@CW7_
5 жыл бұрын
Don't try to safe money on filament. There are already enough sources of potential errors when it comes to 3d printing that you should rule out the filament factor at least. Any filament between $20-30 with good reviews on Amazon should be alright.
hi, can i put a rotary switch with this USB encoder or buttons only? thanks...
Hi i have a question is it neccesary that we use nextion screen or do we have other screen choices? Thanks in advanced.
I have a question: So I want to build this too, do I have to order the amount of parts that are listed in front of the link? Or do I have to order that product twice for example? (Hard to explain I know) And does this work with Codemasters F1 2018? Thanks
Can you make a 3D printing tutorial please
So after I'm done building this do i need to do any programing of the buttons or do they all just work?
Hi, I'm planning to make one. Could it be printed with ABS? How much filament will I need?
Where can I buy the quick realease for g29 or g27?? Ty so much ;D
Is the usb encoder plug and play e.g plug into wheel and play xbox one. Or is it the case you can only use this on pc via software.
Do you know if its possible to mount usb handbrake to fanatec table mount without any extra holes
Hi great video . Just starting out with 3d printing. Do you know where I can find files for these ?
But how can you feel force Feedback from the g29 but use butten and shifter input from the wheel
