Well done. Leaving a couple of tabs is clearly the best way to go.
found this vid so helpful i got a router and jasper 200 as well as a 19 bits to start making rings and flush mount rings :D great info this is why i stay tuned to this channel
Nice work. Would it be easier to make the first ring, polish it up and then mount the router to a table and use a flush trim router bit? That would make exact copies except for the recessed part. Not sure how you would do that with a table? Learned a lot on this video. Thanks.
i have a question when your doing the inner cut to sit it flush how deep is the measurement? great video as well thank you.
Great video.... Is there a way to explain the math used to create the speaker math used to create different size holes, or is that included with the Jasper hole jig?
Which bit are u using
Good work
I wanna make a rings for 4 12" how should I do to start? What size I need to do first next and the last size? Can you please give me a advice
thanks man for the info
Looking good brl
GOOD VID BRO
Thanks bro.
what size or what kind of router bit u use?
Nice man. I need to get a jasper jig.
Thanks bro!
is that 3/4" mdf? would i be able to use birch for same project?
What if you cut your speaker hole too big????? Do you just flush mount it?
Its a "Jasper-Jig" you can get them on ebay or parts express etc.
whats the measurement for 10" 12" and 6"
hey man were did u get the circle jig?
Whats the name of that song you are playing at the end of your vid?
Hey buddy nice work man I would love to learn how to make them I have a car audio store and I’m tired of being them from someone while I can learn how to make them..
Nice.
Does that jasper rig fit many routers
Yeah Mine feel off the wall and broke so I need a new one :/ Might make some metal ones and sell them.

Well he did 2 passes (tell by thickness of the flushmounts lip, its more than the bit can do in 1 rotation around as shown by the outter cut width, so it had to of been 2 go arounds for starters, then I assume he moved the pin a third time, to cut fully through at the edge of the flush mounts lip... What I do is cut the inner circle which is where the speaker would drop into & sit in once cut through- but I leave 2 tabs either side to cut later with jigsaw....then I move the pin so I can do a pass from the edge of where speaker would drop into>>>in 1/4 inch basically and set depth for the flange of speaker... run router around fully...then i move pin again & run another w/e I need, lets say 1/4 inch again for simplicity, run it around , so now I got my inner cutout done minus 2 tabs, and I got a 1/2" mounting lip for the speakers flange to sit flush on. I set my pin once more to the outter rings diameter, say 8 inches, and I blast it all the way through except 2 tabs. Grab jigsaw, cut inner cutout tabs, then outter cutout tabs, clean them up bobs ur uncle. So much work though...
so if i was to make 10" ring it would be 10" 8 3/4 for the rings
So that's how you do the flush in them ring speaker rings!
Only question I have is why not draw it all out the way you wanted it and then do it as one peice? You would've saved soo much wood. This looked like the least efficient way of doing it lol.
is that 3/4 mdf of 1"

+iangodfrey2005 probably 1". 3/4 could possibly be too thin for a flush mount i reckon.
Should you go in a clockwise or anti-clockwise rotation with the router.

Depends on the way the bit cuts.
