Sorry for the long comment but I can't shorten it more and make it understandable ....you said : 20 minutes to dry out porculain before bake is same as if you layered your crowns with dried out purculan then u wet it again it will result in micro bubbles inside it..( you spoke multiple times about that in your videos) ..those micro bubbles are forming when you use porculain liquid and it reacts with binders in porculain powder and is all ok when those binders are moistured but as soon they are dried they start reacting with air and they start to clod (they form gum like structures in between porculain crystals..so when you bake porculain that residue burns out and leaves a hole inside your porculain ( eg micro porosities)...so don't dry out your porculain completely before you put it in the oven..you shall do next dry out your porculain with a tissue then you wet with a tip of your brush your crown so that you create capillarity and when you put porculain in the furnace all the liquid will evaporate thru this capillarity... If you dry out your porc powder with tissue and you don't slightly weten it again with tip of your brush there's a possibility that u gonna have traped liquid inside porculain right between( substructure and powder) and outher surface of crown will be dried out porculain which creates a shell which prevents liquid from inside to evaporate that's why you need to create capillarity or u might have popcorn or small cracks during bake....second never revet your porculain with porculain liquid during build up..instead use destiled water..reason is porculain liquid is not pure but leaves resedue inside your ceramic which afterwards results in changed color shade translucency and phisical bond between porculain crystals... Third you are using an ivoclar furnace in options you have Pre-dry function where you setting up the temperature and duration of pre-drying phase..."S" is just a closing time it's not same as pre drying ..role of pre drying is not just to evaporate the moisture ( this can be done with just S) but it's role is to burn out any resedue which your opaqer liquid porculain liquid and glaze liquid leaving during their evaporation ...in ivoclar there are two stages of pre-drying one is with head open at 100% second phase is at head with 50% open ... My setup is next 2min at 500C at stage 1 and 4min at 500C stage 2 with closing time S of 6 minutes so in total 12 minutes of closing down and pre-dry at exactly 500c ( for vita porculain VMK for other porculains u shall check their pre heating and pre dry temp and adjust them properly)....reason why I divided times like that is because to not cause thermal shock of ceramic and cause fast evaporation of the liquid which can results in detaching of porculain or formation of cracks ..second reason is because all substructure materials eg zir ..disilicates or metal this case have different thermal conductivity then porculain so you need to make the difference in temperature as small as possible especially in larger cases with big zirconia or metal substructure....you know the saying " Devil is in details" well it's same for us..the more we pay attention to details the better our final product will be..one detail might not be visible but 10 little details make difference between mediocre and excellent

Hi, Florian! Thank you!😊 I use temperature C 760 with slow cooling for first bake and sometimes I get cracks too, but lately I have been drying my work on the tray instead of on the tissue and started to leave minimal amount of porcelain in between the crowns also I upped the holding time from 1 minute to 1:15 for bridge and it works pretty well for minimizing cracks. I hope this helps🤗🤞

Hi, thank you! 😊 I don’t do opaque myself, but I think we use Initial opaque paste. I can make a video about it in near future. To make it smooth 3 thin layers need to be applied and baked separately, we still get some pores and cracks every now and then, but I think this technique works best
