Thanks Todd! I've always had a reasonably comprehensive understanding of automobile suspension (after years of studying and tinkering with my 66 Jaguar E-type and Lotus Elise), but didn't understand the first thing about motorcycle suspension. But after 4 years and 23,000 miles of riding experience, my skill level has FINALLY gotten to the point where the deficiencies in the V7 stock suspension are rather obvious. The GTM 2WS looks to be ideal for me (crossing that intersection of discernable improvement and financial viability), and now I have a clue as to how to properly set it up. Subscribed.

Great video Todd. Very helpful. Subscribed. Thanks for helping build Moto Guzzi Community. I just bought a 2016 Stornello V7 II, 2 months ago.

Awesome video! (even though I have no clue how to lower the front end or what sag is) I love the V7III , just to tall for me.😔😔

luvmybeemer - Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. The forks are slid upwards in the triple clamps. Google motorcycle sag. Our shorter shock options shown will get you started in lowering your V7 III.

How short are you? I’m 5’4” and ride the v7iii fine.

Although I'm 5'9" I have 27-inch inseam. My V7ii is just right for me and the V7iii has a marginally lower seat. The ride height, the seat height, can be adjusted on the stock rear shocks. The rear sag must not be set so low that it bottoms out, I am 94kg. With short legs if you put both feet down at a stop you take weight off the seat and it rises under you. This can be a problem; stay sat on the bike.

wg0101 - welcome, and height as to what? The owner requested the bike to be lowered. We installed shorter shocks a lowered the front by dropping the forks.

I have a question. Bitubo has 730mm shocks. Have you ever installed those on a V7? if yes, how did it affect the handling and stability of it? Cheers

Assume you mean 370mm? We recommend +20mm on the rear shocks on all year model V7s. We sell them on our website; GTMotoCycles.com - we have never used Bitubos, and do not recommend the ones used on the older Racer.

Can you provide a link to your website for the exact shock that you used in this video? Perhaps put it in the video description. Is the shock you used in the video the GTM 2WS?

@@GTMotoCycles Thanks for the link. Much appreciated. One more question, does the OEM side (kick) stand need to be altered in any way after the bike is lowered? I've seen aftermarket adjustable side stands used on some lowered bikes so the bike doesn't stand straight up after the height adjustment, but I haven't seen such a stand for the V7.
