Pretty smart guy! Thanks for tuning in!
God definitely uses us as His hand and feet! One time my husband and I had a big fuss. I went to the room upset and started praying. I said "God..I wish You could give me a hug!" 👑 Don't you know, right after I said , that my Husband came in the room..hugged me and left.👀 He didn't say a word and I knew that hug was from the Lord! ❤ After we got a chance to work things out ..I shared that with my Husband and we were both amazed!❤👑

The relevancy! Knowing someone’s love language can help you love that person better. Whilst the intention of showing love to another who has a completely different love language to you is sooo important, I’ve found it to also be hard! But you go hard for the ones you love right. Another great episode. Thank you 🫶🏾

Based on what I have been watching from this podcast and the others, I feel that you guys are most definitely blessed and that Jonathan has one of GOD’s gift of teaching the Word! If Jonathan was ordained as a Pastor and had a Church, I would go to where he was preaching GOD’s Word!! For me it is really difficult to find a True person of GOD!
I really appreciate how transparent and honest you guys are with each other, and you do it with love. I feel like sometimes in relationship, especially married ppl, they think if their marriage isn’t actively falling apart, then there is nothing to fix/talk about. But these little things really do matter in a partnership, and being able to communicate lovingly yet honestly about them really strengthens the bond so much more. Going to try and work on this in my relationship too. Love this podcast and thanks so much for sharing with us 🫶🏾

22:51 made me think of me and God. Everytime I feel this way about someone God reminds me in a way that I shouldn't hold a grudge, because He doesn't when it comes to me being wrong. God still listens to my prayers and still answer me, still giving me grace and love me even when I'm wrong. So when I'm mad at my man I must not try to hurt him by ignoring him. If it makes sense

Every person has all the love languages, all five of them, just in a specific order which also changes with time. Love this episode! 😊❤
Thanks for marrying me..awww❤
Whew!! That break down of the languages leading back to God grabbed my heart. Exactly that. ❤❤❤ Also the point about female friendships. Y’all was hitting on that one. Pride needs to take a step back and we need to do what love requires
It's so funny, I was just thinking during a time of intense prayer, I remembered kissing my husband, but in the Spirit I saw Jesus kissing me. Showing me physical touch through my husband!
Keep.this podcast going!!!! The "Walls" will be broken down when you continue to share your perspectives. Great messages in this podcast from a young couple! Thanks for sharing some of your experiences that give tangible examples and by tying in the Love of Jesus!!! Awesome job! 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️

Awww but dang y’all made me realize that me ignoring people or showing them less love is a form of withdrawing my love from them 😣😢 that kinda makes me sad lol. It’s like “I’m mad at you so you’re not worthy of my love” but God never treats us that way. Imagine God ignoring me because I made Him mad?!😣
Hey Guys, you are right age doesn’t matter. My husband is younger than I am but he teaches me a lot. Like stuff you would think I have learned or been showed already. Marriage is beautiful when it’s done right.❤❤

Johnathan said opposite of love is pride. But i see it as opposite of love is fear and that's really what our pride let's us hide from our fears of not being enough.Remember perfect love casts out fear, we can really love our partners through anything, if we are committed to do so. I loved this podcast episode ❤
I don't think that ya'll even understand how good this is!!!!!! Love Love Love Love!
Hahaha I totally understand, my family and I are 'mean'. My hubby just shakes his head😂I guess I need to go thank him too girl😂😅 this is such a good discussion guys!!! Keep it up😊
Soo good yall 😫😫🥲 cause these married streets b a lil ghettooo .. “the opposite of Love is Pride”.. I felt THAT!
Coming from a place of love cause I’m a big supporter for this podcast and for Jess in general… I do encourage and think Jess should seek talk therapy to help balance out her emotions now because motherhood takes on a different dimension of emotional stability and a lot of us become mothers and go off of our superwoman abilities of bringing a tiny human into this world we can’t accept help or support and push a way vulnerability and ends up in depression- I’m speaking from a personal perspective- 1yr into motherhood

hey girll!! I def appreciate where you're coming from, and i think we all need therapy so no disagreement on that there lol but I don't push away vulnerability and i def accept help it just has to be the right people. I cry in front of my husband and close friends all the time lol i just dont feel the need to cry in public and i get uncomfortable when i have TOO many people knowing sensitive/personal business which I think is okay to feel that way as well

❤❤❤ this is amazing!!!
The conversation you two are having can be applied to so many different relationships whether that be family , friends , and of course marriage. I have found myself similar to Jonathans my mind doesn't go to words of affirmation and its never that I am doing it on purpose but I have been told in previous relationships by the men I've dated that they would like to hear those things and they have assumed because I'm a woman that's what I want to hear as well. I have compromised on it before but I felt bad because it's kind of what jess said they felt I was only doing it because they asked me to.. not that I didn't believe what I said because I meant it But it's also true that i made sure to say it because they mentioned it to me prior. Also Jess some of my immediate family are the same way I can be "mean" to them and vice versa and they are unfazed lol and some of them are a little softer so I got a bit of both (I call it the code switch depending on who i'm talking to)This was such a real conversation keep up the good work you guys!!! I can't say this enough but I really do like these two May God continue to bless your union!!

I am really enjoying this podcast, and I appreciate your openness with us I am learning a lot. Johnathan, you are really good at explaining things. 👏🏾 And you nailed it when you said pride is the opposite of love. Gary Chapman is the author of the Love Languages.
I am truly learning so much from this podcast keep up the great work ❤ What do you think about the fruits of the spirit? Do you think that it can relate to love languages from a biblical standpoint?
@BetweenTheWallsPod
12 күн бұрын
I think they are intertwined but not the same thing. The fruit of the Spirit is what love looks like, joy, peace, patience etc. and a love language is a method of communicating that love. If that makes sense. Thanks for watching!
Come love me 😂😂😂😂
I’m the weirdo that the way I receive love isn’t the way I give love.

This is common though. Generally you're doing it right in that instance. People around us love languages are different. I adjust with my friends/family based on the friend; however, I just love the time spent.
