If MacArthur taught the Word of God in this video (I haven't listened), it doesn't change the fact that he's otherwise generally a serial liar. He's not a man of God. He and John Piper are despicable me

The background music is not only unnecessary, it is distracting. Is there any music when Mr Mac Arthur teaches on Sunday mornings? no, then why add any here?

@@petersack5074 We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We dont worship a tree. We eschew commercializing the birth of Christ, although we do offer each other gifts as God has given us gifts. We commemorate 'good Friday' as a somber necessary event in the predetermined plan of God. We celebrate Easter Sunday because Jesus Christ was raised again to life, so we shall be raised to life after death as well. Most notably, the vicarious substitutionary penal Atonement of Christ Jesus on our behalf was received in the divine court of justice and affirmed as the sufficient payment for the penalty of the sins for all of us who trust in Jesus' sacrifice on our behalf. There is NOTHING pagan about any of that.

I am thankful for John MacArthur and other men like him, but it is very distracting trying to listen to him with the background noise.

Why the music?!

Pro_1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.The beginning of wisdom is found in the temper of reverence and awe. The fear of the finite in the presence of the Infinite, of the sinful in the presence of the Holy (compare Job_42:5-6), this for the Israelite was the starting-point of all true wisdom.

Constructively, I agree that the music is too loud. However, I liked the dramatic effect the music added. It helped to emphasize MacArthur's finer points. Is the music necessary? No. The preaching of the Word does not require it, but I enjoyed it as a nice touch. Also, Debussy - Clair de Lune, was an excellent choice. I was equally encouraged and convicted by MacArthur's message. Thank you!

This is a great word from the Lord. Thank you for sharing. The piano recital in the background distracted me.

Love is the opposite of fear. 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love.

Music is very distracting. Why was it necessary?

There are a lot of things people do that offends God. So many people who claim to be Christians do this all the time. Anyone can buy a cross and wear it around their neck that doesn’t mean they are a Christian. The narrow road is very tough and very few if any are willing to take it.

We Christian's are far from perfect ,and yes anyone can call themselves one. There are new ones mature ones and ones who are being taught by worldly ministers . But not one human alive is sinless . For myself there is evidence I'm growing changing and immediately go to the Lord in prayer when I do sin . Your right the road is narrow and few find it . When I became a Christian my life has never been the same it was no walk in the park on a sunny day . I was and still am work my sin was insurmountable.

Trust his set apart name, what is that name? God/Lord isn't it. We are told to love/bless/praise his name etc praising god isn't doing that as god is a generic title. His name is the name above all names and not taught by any modern religion. We inherited lies and all modern religions are deceived and think they are correct. Wonderfuly said. My nerves boil when I see tones of random videos as to boost visualisation on them, using "God told me to tell u, He gave me a dream, a vision...." In Israel they call Him HaShem, to preserve the sanctity of His Holy Name. On West the modern Christianity, whoever dares to mention His Holy Name for whatever reason. They add take off from the Bible without fear. In the last days I see random videos of extremist preachers, one is preaching prosperity other one is preaching misery and poverty.

People who had never heard of Him yet, they have a dream or a vision and that is how they are converted to Christianity. This is happening so much in the middle east. Just because *Some* people abuse, misuse or even fake the Gifts of the Holy Spirit or even Hearing from God doesn't mean that it's all fake and it doesn't mean that God isn't speaking today or blessing His people with gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Hey Steve...See Eph. 1:17,18...And Acts 2:17,18,19,20...God does speak to His children...By the way...John MacArthur is a Bad Bible Teacher...Not only does he hold that God's Personal Revelation to us is over because we have the Bible...He twist's the Word and is a Calvinist...He also teaches the Pre Tribulation Rapture...Where does the Bible Teach in the New Test. that the Church is going to be Raptured before Tribulation? Jesus said..."In this World you shall have Tribulation." Jn. 16:33...Scripture Teaches that the Rapture happens at the Second Coming and not before...John Mac. cannot even get that right...We call the Second Coming the Second Coming because it's the Second Coming. If there is a Pre Trib. Rapture then there are 3 descents of God from heaven. I only read of Two in the New Testament. See. Acts 3:21...This Scripture Teaches that God must remain in Heaven until the Renewal of all things...This is the Second Coming...If the Pre Trib. Rapture is True then this verse is wrong. Is the Bible Right here or John MacArthur? Giving Christians False Hope in the Name of Jesus that they are going to escape what is coming in the Last Days is Evil, Blasphemy, and Cruel....I think John MacArthur is one of the Worst Bible Teachers in our Day...That being said I support your right to your own reading of God's Word and that we should all be good bereans...Be Well...
