Showing the tweaks on the SAME top, in stages, makes them so much more apparent than if you'd had her change into a top with the right features. With the tweaks being the only variable, it's much easier to see the impact they have without them being mixed in with a different fabric, color, etc. You are a wonderful teacher. I do happen to have Carrie's body type so this has been perfect for me.

​@@fabulous50s After I watched your explanation of the visual effect sleeve length has on a chesty figure, I sat at the sewing machine and altered a dress that I felt so-so about. I transformed the flutter sleeves that flared out and ended right at bust level into shorter tulip sleeves that show more of my arm while still covering the chubbier upper part that I don't love. What an improvement! My figure looks much more balanced...I look taller, too! Thank you so much!

This is the best styling tip video I have ever seen! Simple tweaks, yet a world of difference! I knew about the neckline, and sleeve lengths, but the curved hem (which, as it turns out I have several of!) was such a game changer, and is probably why they appealed to me when I bought them.

Thank God there is a slimmer looking lady who actually sees those of us "blessed in the chest" and provides incredibly practical tips for not living in horrible commercial clothes that are just excess fabric that do not shape or flatter I look Kerry-esque and this definitely spoke to me. It works for any age! I’m 39 but have been let’s say “voluptuous” my whole life...I was doing all these tricks in high school!

I've been using the rubber band trick - it's awesome! Blouses that are a bit too big take on a whole new shape. And there's no sewing! And no lasting marks.

much ado grab a handful of fabric right under your chest or a tad bit lower. Wrap a rubber band around that. Except you’re going to do that from the inside not the outside.You could say it’s almost like a stubby little ponytail for your shirt.

I like the long neck /v-cut. I’ve been doing that trick for years! I love the scoop idea on the bottom, but that split sleeve thing always makes me feel like I look broader in the shoulder and I think it does with Karri too.

It’s so helpful to see fashion tips on body types like hers and mine. Everyone, EVERYONE I see on KZread fashion videos is size 2-4! They look terrific, but their tips for looking slimmer and fashionable just don’t work on a larger body. This is fantastic!

Wow! You've just solved a mystery for me. I have a few tops in my closet that I never reach for and guess what? They all have crew necks, long sleeves and a squared off bottom! lol I never really put a lot of thought into why, but clearly they're just not as flattering due to the reasons you've mentioned above. Tyvm. I'm starting to modify my clothes after a mastectomy years ago. My stomach is large due to post chemo liver failure. I have decent clothes but all are baggy. This is very helpful and my serger is going to get working for me now

I love it! 1st of all: you do not show it on skinny women (you put a potato sack on those and it will look nice) but on women with various shapes and no matter who watches it can really relate to it and see the differences! Thank you so much! The best styling videos ever!

I had the worst experience last night trying clothes on for a birthday im going to tomorrow. I'm menopausal and going through that too. life just isn't the same. you have not only given me hope you've also demonstrated on a different shaped lady who has real life mid life issues like the rest of us, she looks so amazing kudos to you . Some interesting tips thank you. Personally I dislike the current fashion of ‘cold shoulder’ and split sleeves but I like the neckline ideas. If I may suggest you try a rosier lip colour as the one you’re wearing looks very orange on screen 🙏🐞❤️

Wonderful truths and tips ~ I love your fashion videos! Ruching the sides of your tops also creates a curved hem. Plus a shorter top (or longer top/shorter skirt) creates the 1/3 to 2/3 ratio that is more flattering proportionally than a 1/2 to 1/2 look which just... cuts us in half! Love studying illusion dressing ~ thank you SO very much!!

Doreen Watson-read I can totally relate..I have blown up a bit due to a medicine..5’4”238 now...yes feeling very frumpy..these are a couple of seemingly easy tricks to effect a bit of a change in frumpy clothes land, 👏

Changing the neckline to a V made the biggest difference. It reduced the broadness of her chest, while at the same time emphasizing her bustline in a very flattering way. Beautiful! It also drew attention where it should be - on her lovely face and gorgeous smile! Sleeve change was pretty dramatic, too. Great job! 😍 Now please help those of us on the other end of the spectrum: how to flatter narrow shoulders and a very small bustline!

Excellent demo!! Very helpful tips! I've cut so many t-shirts and made them into v-necks!

Excellent tips! Top heavy shorties with a tummy next please..never sure about trouser style, and I dislike ( even though I do have a waist) wearing belts etc, as it makes me feel like im accentuating the bust even more, which I do not want to do...dresses are usually a nightmare, especially anything fitted, as im two sizes bigger up top than waist down. Any tips? 🤔

I think the boots also are a problem though, in the overall look. Maybe a cuter, lighter shoe?

dee smily I agree the boots don’t help I think there should be a gap between the bottom of the jeans and the shoe. A lighter shoe would be better.

The pants are tapered at the ankle. Completely wrong for a larger person.

Thanks.... though I couldn’t cut up clothes - this gives me excellent ideas what to look for when shopping🙂.. I can pin something or add a long necklace!
