My backup tailor is at the dry cleaners I’ve gone to for years. I have all my pant pockets sewn shut because I can’t stand when pant pockets bulge outward. It can give the appearance of extra weight around the hips. No bueno. The right bra makes all the difference. Saggy & unsupported is not cute.

My general recommendation is to add something I already feel comfortable in. For example, I like heels so adding them makes me feel better in an outfit than if I force myself to wear some sneakers. Likewise, if sneakers are your thing learn to work within that and make it work instead of forcing something that’s not comfortable to you. Also, hair… wear your hair in a way that YOU like. If you like wigs, wear a wig. If you like locs, get locs. If you like loose natural hair, wear that. Confidence is the best accessory so wear whatever makes you feel like you.

My Tip would be to keep your hair well groomed. No matter what type of hairstyle you have, it should be well groomed, and if you're having a bad hair day pop that nice hat on and amp up the makeup. Not having well groomed hair can really mess up a bomb outfit.

Monochromatic looks always make me look expensive. Head to toe black, white, color, doesn’t matter it looks expensive.

I’ve been making sure I walk with my head up (especially in awkward situations) and it has made such a huge difference!

This one is bigger than we think. Hold your head up. And Also try to sit up straight as well and stop Slouching.

My mom taught me about proper foundation pieces when I started shopping on my own. Buying the right sized bra, seamless panties (to avoid panty lines), and quality shape wear are top priority for me. I spend a lot on my bras because I’m busty and I want the girls to look sleek & lifted. I’m also big on tailoring and knowing your measurements. I’ve used the same tailor for years and I have my measurements taken twice a year.

I love this! What shapewear do you buy? I'm a mom of 5 and have a flabby tummy (but not for long my tummy tuck downloading! haha). In meantime i need good shapewear to wear with cut out dress, deep plunge dresses etc!

My tip would be that less is more. It's kinda how you said getting dressed is easier for you because your closet isn't filled with all the latest trends. I loved this video! ❤

Natural fibers changed my whole look and life - cotton, linen, viscose, leather, silk! They last longer and look more expensive than they necessarily are. I don't entertain anything 100% polyester anymore, regardless if it's designer or not - not worth it!

Love all your tips. One additional that helps me feel put together is my hair must be done/moisturized!

It may be generational but for my Wide Leg Linen Pants, I like a nice ironed crease unless I’m doing a lazy Sunday vibe of shopping or Thrifting.

The size comment was everything, I have been stuck on a size 12 for years. If it wasn’t 12 or large , I wouldn’t purchase it. Girl!!! I I wanted some cut off denim shorts and tried on a size 14 and they weren’t too tight and looked great! Of course. I am on a fitness journey, but this advice was on point for me! We need to get unstuck. Most times clothes aren’t designed for curvy bodies. A small top, most times will not fit women with size DD chest.

Smelling good...INVEST in a good perfume/fragrance that makes you feel good and confident. It is the finishing touch 🥰

It’s the shapewear for me‼️An addition for me would be incorporating shapewear, especially with a form fitting dress. We all have butt and leg dimples. It takes away when you can see “what lys beneath” through the dress or pants. Shapewear hides this as well as gives you a smoothed out appearance.

I took a pair of Zara pants to a tailor because the front was droopy but the hip was perfect. He charged me $80, which was more than the pants cost. so after that experience I decided to only buy things that fit immediately in the store.

Not sure if its been said already. Another helpful accessory for me is silk scarves. Also keeping my outfit to 2 or 1 colour works better. I cannot over emphasize the importance of getting similar outfit pieces in various colours. It has helped me so much!

For me, it's my hair! If my hair is not put together, it kills the whole look 😍

As a professional tailor, you are right on the money! I recommend buying trousers or skirt a size up then getting it tailored!

Loved this video. Great tips. I would include proper under garments, skincare and well maintained hair. I started doing my own gel nail polish and it has been a game changer. I literally feel elevated every Sunday when I do them.

Proper undergarments. Especially for curvy girls. Smooths lines. Assists hips and stomach. Even helps posture. Proper bras a must to assist with lines and proper “fall” of garments. We know you don’t wear bras but even fashion tape has improved my look, with or without the bra.

When I want to elevate a look, I turn to pearls. It is my traditional birthstone.

I love your tips! I would add hair! To me the way your hair is a great percentage of your look as well!

Try and keep your hair neat. I like spray some holding hair spray and just walk through it a few times and comb down and manage any flyaways! I’m not a slick the edges type but I do think your hair looking groomed and managed helps as well!
