I really like ivory or light tan/beige with black instead of white. I am definitely a casual woman so this appeals to me. I also love the blue top and ivory trouser combination a LOT. So...basically the "chic/expensive" look is neutrals -- understated in color with lots of STYLE.

I think it depends on the print - big flowers, probably not, discreet geometrics, more contemporary. But I think it also depends on your shape and clothing style preferances. Curvy lady, I would go for curvy shapes etc. as told to me when I worked in the fashion design world.

Bring it with you. Normally its lovely and warm in April and May but its just rained and rained this time. So pack up your weather and bring me some.
Burgundy and brown always look good together, as does tan and navy and also black and cream. However, I find that as I have aged, beige near the face makes me look like I need a blood transfusion. It needs counteracting with a pop of colour somewhere near the face to revive the complexion.

I feel that sometimes too. I have some perfect jewellery for that ill be sharing soon.
I lovae the way you look in camel and the bright shade against white really works too. I did want to shorten some of those first jacket sleeves for you though! I have the opposite problem that they are usually too short, but manufacturers are getting better at providing different fittings, i.e. petite and tall.

I have really short arms so constantly turn up sleeves by tucking them under, or rolling them up.

@@Myover50fashionlife Oh right! M&S have a wonderful ruched sleeve jacket (in several colours), quite deconstructed, no buttons. Just wondering if it would work for short arms?! It actually works for my long ones too, as its not wrist length, no one sees that it would be too short if down. Not a huge fan of M&S in the past, but they seem to have had a turn about this year.

Ivory, tan, camel, black (maybe away from my face), and brown do not work with my coloring. Gray, navy, taupe, cool beige, and soft white will work a lot better.
Your nails look amazing. Be nice to see you in skirts rather than trousers . I am sure you have nice legs ?
