There is something just so relaxing and ASMR about watching you do the micro-adjustments, like folding the sleeves or straightening the collar on the shirt. I absolutely love the videos for not just the content, but HOW you present it.

In the Choose Modern cuts one , the proportions are off on the one on the right , she is half jacket and half pants and that makes the eye go across making a person shorter and wider. Where as the one on the right is the proper 1/3 : 2/3 ratio which makes a person appear taller and slimmer. Don’t forget about proportions when dressing , it makes a world of difference.

Thank you, Giedre, lot’s of great examples! On minute 5:45 I liked 1st look more then the second though. First one looks really interesting, checked pants are great, the color combination is more complex, but well matching, the bag is great. The second look is simple and the bag is too small and less impressive. It’s too neutral. In the whole look the cardigan is the only interesting accent. It looks like if you have a complex cardigan and you are not sure how to style it, just wear everything beige without prints with it. Since the video is about being more elegant, maybe the second look is safer to present at Royal tea party, but the 1st one has more individuality, modern, and still elegant.

I AM wearing black relaxed pants with a olive green cami and a white lacy loose top with elasticized waistband ... I actually like many of the before-styles and some alterations make the outfits look like everyone is wearing them instead of having a unique touch, sometimes even less modern.

how do you keep the sleeves bunched up though? i have skinny arms & i can't keep any sleeves rolled up. i'm seeing a theme of skinny belts & narrow pant legs. tucked in blouses. i wish i could get these looks. but i crave comfort. i have a million clothes, some very nice loft, & j jill, ann taylor, lord & taylor. but i don't know how to pair them up. i have belts & shoes galore. i need personal guidance. great video. i will try to put one outfit together. i'm hoping to put a great one together to go shopping on 5th ave in two weeks. wish me luck.

I like to use scarves as a belt - although at 5’1” it may no be the best look for me (cutting me in two, attracting attention to my short waist). Is that why you avoid this look? I would have used the scarf in this video that way, in at least one outfit if not several.

This is very good information. However I still think that the half-tuck look is just plain sloppy. Whether it is front tuck or side tuck, just don't care for the way it looks.
