Far bettter going direct rather than using agencies for locum shifts.

I think direct is good if you want to work in one place, but if you want to work in multiple pharmacies and keep record of what shifts you worked, then apps like this are amazing for it.

Thank you so much for another video! I have never had a smartcard before, and when I look on the NHS Digital website it doesn't give a clear section on how to apply. Do you know how to apply for a smart card please? :)

I work as a dispenser in a pharmacy and I have a smartcard your pharmacy should do an application for you like your area manager or manager or someone senior to yourself they will need to go through information with you and get like your passport number or any form of id number which they will explain so that they can send it off to the local smartcard team who will print one off for you and send to your pharmacy once you get it then you get a manager to unlock it for you and select your job role like pharmacist dispenser or locum to that pharmacy with their ods code then you do yourself a password of numbers and you should have a working smartcard if there's any problems trying to get it you can always search the local smartcard team i think its called ra agent can't remember as got mine 2 years ago but yeah you could email or ring them they are normally valid for a few years too before you need to get a new one with an up to date photo but ywah I am sure that's all the steps to getting one but like I said im a pharmacy dispenser so it maybe different even for Technicians too but hopefully it helps you out x

Unfortunately this is true as you get taxed for both jobs xx

Do you have any information about locuming in hospital? I feel like there's even less info about that out there 😂

I find locuming hard whilst working full time and doing the diploma. The time and money spent on locuming seems pointless.
