I tried this a long time ago and it worked but idk for some reason timer started ringing whenever i opened any app and have to stop the timer.. it was frustrating.. then i just deleted the timer setting now it’s like if any app is opened phone will lock and it worked without using timer.. heheh😅

I want to lock an app with a code other than with my Apple ID code. Right now I have Face ID but a couple of tries with face and you are asked to enter Apple ID and that opens the app. Is there any way to get around that?

The only problem with this is that you cannot lock the shortcut App and anyone who knows this can easily cancel these restrictions in that App. This is however still a good security measure against anyone who steals your phone and try’s to accept your bank and personal details etc.

It worked perfectly for me on my iPhone 6s, running ios 15.8.2. When you open Shortcuts there is a menu on the very bottom of the screen. Automation is the middle choice out of three. Good luck!

He said it’s not an app lock. But it’s away to stop access to the app. Apple should offer locks on ANY app. Especially ones that involve money!!!

You forgot the last step in the tutorial. Start at 4:46.

You know you can just go into shortcuts and delete the automation because you can’t lock the shortcuts app. Pointless. So if somone know this it won’t keep them out.
