9:14 Hello thank you so much for sharing this info. I’m getting stuck on step 3 when I try to add the live streaming app in Zoom. The circle keeps spinning and it never finishes. Has anyone else run into this issue? I’ve tried this both on the PC and on the MAC.

Hi @chippinard2556, the "Add A Channel" option only shows up after you click APPS (on the Zoom control strip - where it has share screen, etc.). You hsould have the Live Streaming App added and as long as you have the Zoom permissions toggled on, it should show up. If for some reason it isn't. I highly recommend watching my Troubleshooting video kzread.info/dash/bejne/l3mYt6qOiLCundY.html which bypasses the need to Add A Channel altogether. Please let me know if it works for you. Hi @hieuinspire , If you don't see "Add A Channel" then you don't have the Zoom Livestreaming App added. I recommend watching this troubleshooting video to set up your Zoom meeting an alternate way where you do not need to add the CHANNEL. Here is the link to that video. @lmanning108, I replied to your previous comment - Zoom doesn't have the livestreaming option on the free account. Same is true for most platformd, e.g. StreamYard, Ecamm Live, Sessions, etc.

Are you able to set up livestream for two groups or more at the same time?

@deborahhriley5320, yes it should work using this recurring meeting set up and Zoom’s live streaming app. Set up an app for each meeting. You can also add KZread and other platforms to stream into all at the same time. Test and let me know how it goes!🚀

Do you have to have a subscription to Zoom? I have the FREE version and I don't see the KZread and live steaming options :(

Hi @ElaineToombs, yes you need a paid Zoom subscription to livestream. I have the Pro plan which is about $16/month, or $150 if you pay by the year.

I don’t get the add groups prompt. What do I do?

Hi @AntoinetteThibodeaux-Corrigan, her are a couple things to try in Zoom: First make sure you have a paid Zoom account, check your Zoom App (not the browser but the App) to make sure it is up to date. Then restart your computer and try again by going to Settings > Meeting > In Meeting (Advanced) > Live Streaming > Custom Live Streaming Service and toggle the swtiches on for the App and the Custom Livestream. Sure, @JenniferBolus-zo3kq ! First a question for you, is the custom live streaming box checked on your Zoom settings? Often that's the issue. Ifnot, then the problem most people have with the app not working is having the Zoom meetings set to specific dates and time and this set up using Zoom's the live streaming app method works best for recurring meetings. No problem… I created a troubleshooting video that shows how to set it up for specific meetings. You have to add the rtmp URL and keys for each scheduled meeting, but it's really easy. We are somewhat new to hosting livestreaming on a facebook group and it happens to come right when they change it! So, we are new to using outside systems but when using Zoom, do you need to have a paid account in order to have the "allow livestreaming of events" option to appear? When we are in the advanced meeting settings, it's not there. Thanks for the help!

Hi @dougmoore7424, YES you do need a paid Zoom account in order for the live streaming feature to work. I have the Zoom Pro account which is about $150 USD a YEAR. (I think they have amonthly pay option.) Hope that helps! And welcome to world of live streaming on Facebook!🥳

I keep getting "Error: Failed to connect to Zoom services". I've refreshed my screen, logged out of both zoom and fb, and restarted my laptop. I'm. It sure what to do next. I did notice that when it shows the channel, the name of my fb group does not show up, like it does with yours.

@jacquiep626, couple things to double check; use chrome or safari browser, turn off any extensions, make sure you have a paid zoom account. Hi @mindmagicsteph, I'm not sure why the "ADD A CHANNEL" if you followed the steps to turn on the Lie Streaming App in Zoom. No worrries! I convered a different way to set up your meeting without needing to use the CHANNEL method. Here is the link to that video. @SovereignAFpodcast , ahhh, try turning off extensions or apps (there have been problems with the duckduckgo app/browser). I use chrome and I think Safari works fine. Also check your Zoom app for updates. (The Zoom App - not the browser). Make sure chrome is also up to date. Do all this, restart your computer and see if that jumpstarts everything! :)

Hi Lisa - I did everything up to saving channel in zoom and pressed live streaming in zoom and got an error message in zoom: Failed to connect to zoom services. I've removed and reinstalled the details in zoom still not working - suggestions?

Hi @space.whisperer, if you just now changed the settings to custom livestreaming, you may have to log out of Zoom (and facebook - just to be sure) and log back in again. Hi @SindyKuehnel, my apologies for not mentioning this in the video but Zoom's free plan does not have a live streaming option. You would need one of the paid plans. I have the least expensive one and it works great (~$16 USD/month or $150 USD/year). Do you have a free or paid Zoom account?

@@highticketsindy the best option is to schedule a recurring meeting and add the keys and fb group & rtmp URLs to that recurring meeting. That way you can start it any time and it will be set up to stream as long as you create the Facebook post and get into your live producer area. 🎉
