Re UPC barcodes - it's maybe worth to mention that GS1 US typically does not allow splitting or purchasing multiple smaller prefixes instead of one larger prefix to circumvent their pricing structure. I.e, if you need say 20, you better go for 1-100 range and pay $750 instead of purchasing 20 x $30 individual codes. The surplace is your motivation for further expansion. Stay positive!

You're welcome! The tax code depends on your product. You can look it up with google or ask a tax professional. The release date is when the product was released. The shipping group is if you're shipping the product (FBM), what shipping template the product should use. If there's not asterisk next to the field, the fields aren't required. Just leave them blank.

You should make a video about the new shipping rule. The SIPP. 2024 US FBA fulfillment fee changes.

You're welcome! You can't ship anything to Amazon without having a listing first because you can't create a shipping plan without a listing.

Hi- thanks for your videos, they are very helpful. I wanted to ask you if you’ve ever been able to change the name of your child variations. I have a product with 4 colors and the swatches just got added to the listing as the product is making its way to the fulfillment centers this week. Now that swatches are on the listing, I realize that they are organized alphabetically, which is not ideal for my product. I’d like to have them listed from light to dark, not in a random order. Is there anyway to change the order that the swatches appear on the listing or to change the naming convention so it will be ordered by my preference? Will that mess up anything with fulfillment? I have FNSKUs stickers on all my products. Thanks in advance for your opinion

If you're referring to the length of the title, there is no "recommended" length. Describe your product with the most relevant keywords and put the most important keywords towards the beginning of the title.

If I want to just do a general listing just to see if the product has any problems, would I be able to go back and edit the listing like better descriptions and stuff later on? Or is it only the title that can be changed later on?

Hello. If you just bought the GS1 barcode, it can take 48-72hr for the GS1 database to update before you can use it on Amazon.

I sent my fist fba package since December 9th and it still says “out of stock” why would that be? It says the package is in Dallas texas.

Hey I've got a question that needs answers, but you are drop shipping and you have some products that you're trying to sell on AMAZON and these products are for EXAMPLE #1 a backpack that has L.E.D lights on it or Example #2 a shovel that has a pocket knife that comes with it... My question is how do I get it listed as a product for sell...WHAT TYPE OF DESCRIPTION OR LABEL SHOULD I USE BECAUSE THERE ARE THREE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES TO CHOOSE FROM WHEN YOU'RE ADDING YOUR PRODUCTS TRY TO GET THEM LISTED PRODUCTS SOLD NOT ON AMAZON AND THEN YOU HAVE TWO OTHER OPTIONS

Ok I'm using SELLVIA for my products and the category that I'm using when it says find your products and Amazons catalog, I can't use that part because my products are print on demand so I have to use the part that says I'M UPLOADING A FILE TO ADD MULTIPLE PRODUCTS

Thank you so much #crescent for replying and this video was really helpful to understand product external id and everything but there is one thing that in your listing there is no contribution sku field to fill out but in my listing there is a contribution sku field by the product external id can you plz tell what to put in contribution sku ??

You're welcome. The SKU is just something you can make up for your own book keeping/inventory tracking. I go over that in the video.

Hello. You won't be able to buy your inventory from a retailer to get ungated. You need invoices from authorized wholesalers or distributors. Kohls and other retailers will only give you a receipt.

Do i buy the product first and then add it to Amazon?

Hello. You use whatever brand name you want. Pick a name that you want to use as your brand.

I have an issue that Amazon cannot resolve. It is a common issue in forums but nobody has found a solution. I create a new product listing not sold in amazon, complete all the fields with no errors left. I click the save and submit button at the end but there is just a spinning arrow and then nothing shows up in my inventory. I've tried doing it from different browsers, my phone and two other computers. I've tried deleting cookies, cache etc. no resolution and Amazon keeps sending me generic bot responses. If you know the solution, I'd be super grateful!

The 4:43 part is what I find so confusing i dont understand why people kept saying you can buy a barcode for $30 “EACH”. Isn’t it like a 1 time subscription? You can buy 1 for only once and thats it.

@@CrescentKao I understand that, thats not what i meant, for example if I have 1 product with 2 color, so I will need to buy 2 barcodes. But there are only 2 options, 1 is to buy Individual which contains 1 barcode only, 2 is to buy the Basic Sub that has 10 barcodes. I just dont get why people keep saying you can buy multiple of the $30(which would be lovely but it doesn’t exist)

If you need more than 9 GTINs, you might want to consider licensing a GS1 Company Prefix. Hello. Can you rephrase your question? I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. If the shipping fee is too high then you probably entered the size and weight of your product wrong.

Hello Crescent please allow me to ask my question here sorry long message i am new.. I keep getting an error warning. 8541 I have completed the entire listing, Product Identity item Name. I have the UPC and have filled in the product details (description, bullet points, images, weights, etc.). It is a baby bath. I am not sure if it is different here in Australia where I live. I find it complicated to understand I am new. I am new to youtube, where individuals always talk in complex details and do not simplify when discussing values, etc.

Hello. If you're doing private label, you need to buy a new UPC barcode. If you're not doing private label then the info you entered doesn't match the info for that existing UPC. Either enter the correct info or use the existing listing on Amazon instead of creating a new listing: sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G200692330

Amazon doesn't require you to have a registered trademark to sell on Amazon. Having a registered trademark gets you access to Brand Registry and extra marketing features.

Hey crescent, I had a couple questions if you don't mind. Firstly I am trying a new product so I only ordered 100 units from my supplier, however any order I make regardless of unit count will take 2-3 weeks to arrive at amazon warehouse. Should I wait to see if the product is successful or order more units already while these 100 arrive at amazon? Secondly, I applied and qualified for brand registry exemption, so I was able to use my brand on the product, in this case, can I make the product description really nice with pictures and other things or is this only for brands in the actual brand registry. thank you!!

Hello. 1) I would wait 2) you need to have a registered trademark and then enroll in Brand Registry in order I get access to A+ Content.
