If you are into the plaster look like we are, painting with limewash is a great alternative. Limewash can give you the texture and plaster look in a more affordable way.
I am almost to the end of completing my kitchen in the house my family has lived in for over 5 years. We added some new cabinets and countertops, but my favorite change is my hood. I didn’t know how this hood would feel after it was built, but it quickly become one of my favorite parts. We chose to limewash the hood versus plaster. I have heard a lot about and love a limewash, but I had never used it myself. I have some friends who work with me (@juliaroseryan and @mryanfilm) that limewashed their bedroom and loved it so I decided to try it on my own hood. I have to say I absolutely love it! Might change colors mid way through to Eastwood, but I right now it's in Portola's antique white.
