This is the Best way to start a weber...I always had a problem with the gas safety feature which would only allow 250 to 325 degrees. The solution of SLOWLY opening the gas tank after the cover is open ...letting the gas to release into grill and then lighting just the first burner is the trick...great job

Thank you! A better way to turn off would be to shut the propane valve first so that residual gas burns off, and then turn off the grill.

Almost correct. You only need to light one burner. The rest will light from that one. Second, always turn the propane off first. Third, if the push button spark fail you can still light the burner with a lighter flame on the side port of this unit.

Wrong. This model does not have a connection between burners like the older genesis models. You must hit the spark button every time or risk a big flare, trust me. Second, Weber's manual does not suggest to turn off the propane first it shows is as the last step. However, I agree it may be better for the environment. Third, this model does not have the side port.

Hello Igor, I'm not sure of the model name ( genesis or summit) but, you will easily find it on youtube or the Weber catalogue..On the french models, I believe we have a double security on the gas bottlem a button to press, after opening the gas. I'll make video on it if you think it would help. Here is the short answer - The Lightning Bolt symbol is high (think hottest setting on a range). As you turn the dial the temperature goes down. the Half moon symbol is medium heat. As you keep going, you get to low heat. Until you learn more about it, try this - All three burners on high for steaks and burgers; all three burners on medium for chicken; all three burners on low for anything you would normally bake at 300 or less. Hope this helps.
