Since the Left bracket has been discontinued, has anyone determine if the right bracket can be turned 180 degrees and used on the left side?

I just know if I try this, I'll end up buying a new refrigerator. Of course for the price of the seals, I may wanna do that anyway. But great tutorial nevertheless. Thanks

It’s pretty intuitive, but scary to pull the old one off. The magnet may not make good contact on the first close since the rubber hasn’t been flat in shipping. But give it a few minutes after closing and it’ll start working.

How do we know if the seal is the issue and how to trouble shoot? Why would the seal get bad anyways? Been having issues with the fridge since repair guy came to fix something last Time. I feel like he did something to the gasket as I was not having issues before. I would like to see if this is repairable before ordering a new gasket. Maybe it just needs to be pushed back in lol 😅

If the gasket isn't installed correctly or if there are any gaps in the gasket after it was installed then that could cause an issue. If the wrong gasket was ordered then that could be the issue. What is your model number of the fridge and what is going on with the fridge?

its an LG double french door ill edit the comment after i figure out the model number. only the double door fridge was not working. things would be ok for a few days and then go bad. food not as cold or fresh. however, recently the whole fridge/freezer stopped getting cool. idk whats going on. this is the second time this has happened. @@appliancepartspros

Why refrigerator door gaskets are more expensive than the refrigerator? I don't understand. I won't pay $300 for a single gasket.
