Is it the same thing for EKG tech student?
I am a pre-paramedic, what is the P-R interval and how does it effect the heart? Can you explain the patho? Sorry rookie

It is the necessary pause. The atria fire… pause… ventricles then fire… if they fired simultaneously then you wouldn’t have sufficient blood flow as the atria and ventricles would be battling each other. Think atria pulls blood into the heart to the ventricles and then the ventricles push the blood out of the heart and into the body/lungs
