So my girlfriend is Dominican. Half of her family doesn’t speak English. It’s definitely a process learning Dominican Spanish. After hearing the accent, you get used to it so Dominicans don’t sound like they’re speaking as fast. I love the culture and it is very similar to the Black American culture in MANY ways lol

Puerto Rican Spanish. I'm Mexican but have a half Mexican, half Puerto Rican child and am surrounded by that culture here. :)

Ayooo dude I'm dominican and live in DR and you know how to use dominican words even better than me XD (btw if you are interested in learning how older dominicans sometimes speak see La escuelota by Freddy Veras Goico, he is an icon of dominican tv)

Thanks for giving me a start, because I’ve been learning Spanish for 3 months and my ENTIRE family is Dominican.

Spanish was my first language when i was like 3 or 4. But I grew up in the sates and I didn't need to speak it. So I forgot most of it. But i recently moved to the DR and I speak spanish pretty well and I'm articulate in the language, it's just now that i live in the DR people say i have a very slight accent and i have weird grammar. your channelis helping me get over these hurdles so for that i wanna say thank you

Yoooo this the best, my dad wasn’t home much growing up didn’t get the opportunity to learn Dominican Spanish my mom is from Poland so pretty much know 50/50 polish but I NEED to learn Domican Spanish to go places

As some one who recently learned my family is from the dr this is very helpful to me so I can learn my own language

i spent a couple months in montecriste de domicana república teaching english to children. i do not understand other dialects of spanish as much as dominican. it is so different. beautiful.
