    While I am not new to AWS, this is a refreshing "categorization" of tracks and services pertaining to each. In terms of "common" tools, maybe SAM or the aws cli should be mentioned in the "common" column?

  • @BeABetterDev

    @BeABetterDev

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey rolucic, thanks for pointing this out. I'm not sure how I feel about SAM anymore with the introduction of CDK. It feels like theres significant overlap in the two but I figured CDK is more futureproof. Your point about the CLI is an excellent one. It was silly of me to not include that! Thanks again for your feedback and kind words. Daniel

  • @rolucic

    @rolucic

    @@BeABetterDev Hi, Yes, I am conflicted also about SAM vs SDK. What I can say is that I've opted for CDK (Python "flavor") but there are still a lot of samples out there using SAM. Seems to me AWS is conflicted about this also. One other point could be that if you don't know any of the languages that can be used by CDK (Java, JavaScript, Python...) and you are "OK" with YAML (or JSON) then SAM might be the way....
