How To Learn Anything 10x Faster

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Interested in learning more about Charisma University? Click here: goo.gl/QaKqLh
You’re going to spend thousands and thousands hours learning over the course of your life. What’s crazy is that despite the fact that we have all those hours sitting in the classroom, learning musical instruments, martial arts, business, language, whatever - no one teaches us how to optimize that learning experience.
But there are principles that you can apply to any area of life you want to improve in. From beating people who have been training waaaaay more than I have in ju jitsu to watching our business grow exponentially in the last 6 months. So think of an area of your life that you want to start crushing the competition in and apply these 5 tips to learn 10x faster
1. Measure the smallest possible victory
2. Drill one thing at a time until it is unthinking habit.
3. Shorter periods of study every day beat cramming
4. When you are starting, try a million different things
5. Debrief your successes and failures

    Just thought I'd post this in case anyone wanted a quick rundown of what he said in point form! Measure a smaller unit of success. - Smaller milestones/steps. Well help with knowing where things are going wrong - Instead of me being like “I either get it or I don’t, not knowing where I don’t get it and why. - With all of these smaller steps, when you deconstruct things, you can chunk all of these little things together and it will make the learning process a lot easier once you reassemble them. Drill ONE thing until it becomes a habit, then move on. - Apply that thing until it becomes an unthinking habit. - Focus on ONE thing, make it habit, and then move on. Shorter period of study every day are better then long, sporadic cramming sessions. - For learning, a little bit everyday is better than one long batch. - Learning comes from repetition. - If you’re trying to build a skill, you’re trying to rewire your brain. - Shorter periods in between mean you get to review a lot more consistently. - Takes a lot more willpower. - True for learning, but not necessarily for production. When starting, test many different methods; when growing stick with one. - You’ll start to plateau. - At the beginning of the endeavour, mix it up. - When you find one that works, shut all the rest out. Stick with it while it’s growing like crazy. Debrief to avoid repeating the same mistakes. - People have a lot of pride, when they don’t get something they want to act like they know. - Through that mentality, you actually don’t know what you should or shouldn’t do. - Ask about what you did wrong, ask how to avoid making the same mistake next time. - Like this instead of repeating the same mistake, I make them ONCE. - In order to know what we are doing wrong, we need a second opinion.

Drill and focus on one thing at a time, don't move on until you've mastered it and it's become an unthinking habit 3. Shorter, consistent period everyday of studying is better than longer, one-time cramming period 4. 1. Take a small unit of success 2. Take one thing, repeat it so long so that it becomes a habit (at least 3 weeks) and then move on! 3. Smaller periods of learning every day is better than the last few days learning like you would have to kick the bucket otherwise. 4. When you start, test different kinds of methods (qualitatively). As soon as you feel like really growing in one particular field of learning and feel the most comfortable compared to the others, remain true to it! 5. Don't make the same mistakes all over again. You are smart, you give other people chances to make mistakes too and learn from their's. It saves you lots of time and emotional pain! Learn from your and others mistakes! Best regards, my dear power people ;-)

    Reviewing your mistakes is so important. For every job I've been unsuccessful in applying for, I always contact the interviewer in earnest and ask how I could have improved or if there was something they felt I was lacking in. They look upon it very favourably, and I've actually been offered jobs I was previously refused after doing it. If you want anything at life, be persistent. You don't have to be amazing, as long as you take it step by step, don't give up, and you'll get there fine in the end.

RICHARD WANG IN SOME OTHER COMMENT WROTE THIS DON'T CREDIT ME, I'M JUST A USELESS COPY PASTER

    I saw one of your videos for the first time today, 'Psychological Tricks your not taught in school' ... I enjoyed the video so much it lead to many more Charisma on Command videos in succession. What an incredibly motivating, hopeful and positive take-away! I've sent 3 of them to 10 of my friends already because I'm certain the content is right up their alley at this point in life also. Your positive energy, confidence and experience just seem to jump from the video and permeate. It's never too late to teach an old dog new tricks and at 60 I feel this arena just might be the one area that has me stuck and stagnant. Social 'interaction' has never been a facet of my life that I thought about in a room-for-improvement kind of way. I guess it was something I took for granted. The high point for me is the fact that all your advice is ethical, kind and tactful, and.... effective. Kind of reminds me of Assertiveness Training I did in the late 70's. You are so genuine and your passion for your topic is palpable. The words integrity and character are not words I typically associate with people these days. They are sincerely qualities you possess. Appreciate you sharing very much. Regards, Debbie Thomas

    One thing you can try to do to improve your growth, is tying your titles and content to modern events. For example, this video might have gotten a boost if it came out before everyone's finals, and your proposed Mohammed Ali video might have gotten a boost if it had come out shortly after his death.

    As a fellow sufferer, my best advice is not to look for motivation from videos or anything like that, the effect lasts for about 1 minute. Meditation helped me, as it helped me identify the pull when my mind is wandering on to something else. It takes a few weeks to really recognise the feeling and be able to stop yourself. Another tip is to listen to some generic video games music while you work, I don't know why it works, but it really does. Another thing I discovered on my own is... when you first wake up, deliberately refrain from doing something that distracts you, such as going on to youtube or reddit to see whats new. You will find you are less inclined to go on throughout the day.

    1) Do the hardest thing first, like studying. 2) Avoid ALL distractions, like uninstall your video games, study in a library Your going to get that "I don't wanna" feeling, do what you have to do and that feeling will gradually go away.

    Hi, Your video was helpful. Thanks for that. Also, request you to do a video on how to break the worry habit? 1. People imagine horrible things in mind and start worrying. Areas according to my own experience and others is that many people worry about FEAR OF ILLNESS(SUFFERINGS)- they imagine something bad can happen and they tart worrying. Second area is finances(especially people who are in lower and middle class), what is they lose their job, how to clear debts etc? I would be grateful if you take up this!!

    I believe that knowing WHY things do what they do helps me to see patterns in everything, allowing me to master things at a much faster rate. It works in the long run because the "why"s are fundamental building blocks of everything. If I know "why" you do what you do in a certain situation, I can better predict how you will react in a different situation. And if I'm wrong? I look at WHY the pattern didn't hold, which again gives me a pretty good idea of how you will react in an exponentially expanded number of situations, and so on. It works with people, places, and things. "Why" = knowledge / understanding / power.

  • @ej5364

    @ej5364

    8 жыл бұрын

    Continuing to watch, and I have more thoughts.... "How can I avoid that?" is almost the same as "WHY is that effective?". But the WHY allows you to develop new strategies of your own, again giving you a fundamental knowledge to build on. You can run simulations of your behavior, and predict when something will happen, opening up your possibilities and making people think you are some kind of genius. Best analogy I can think of: The kids that learn the multiplication tables from memory VS why the answers are what they are. Anyone can recite from memory (well, most people), but knowing why 9x7=63 allows me to apply that same principle to any and every number in existence. Its been pretty helpful for me over the years. Social interaction can be a little more difficult to understand than math, but the same holds true! :)

    I agree. Even with my learning in school I seem to be the only student to care about why any of the stuff is the way that it is? A lot of student will just not ask any questions and take everything at face value. Asking why can incredibly increase understanding/learning. It provides a base knowledge that can grow

    yea i think "thinking about your thinking" is "meta-cognition" or whatever buzzword they use; this is definitely legit. but imo it's more important to recognize your own personal hangups to success rather than EXACTLY how you process/retain information.

  • @ej5364

    @ej5364

    8 жыл бұрын

    Well, I'd say they are both important! Why can't you work on recognizing your personal flaws while learning to process information more efficiently? The power of why can get you to the root of ANY problem. For example, it can teach you why you are not getting the results you want out of life. It can teach you the difference between 'wants' and 'needs'. It can get down to the fundamental values and beliefs that make you who you are as a person. And when you know those values / beliefs, you can change them as you see fit, effectively making you a new person. The more you understand, the more you have the ability to change the world, including your self. Isn't that what success is? The power to change yourself and your environment to how you want it?

    Thanks for making these videos. I really liked the 2nd rule especially. I've found that I'm too ambitious in a sense, and easily distracted, so I usually focus on too many aspects of things when i'm learning. But when I think about it..the times I was most productive was when I really focused on a certain aspect. It was less stressful, yet oddly more challenging making it more motivating, and just overall more rewarding.
