Thats awesome!! Ive had my air2 a few months now. I've done mannyyy single layer. I make my son a shirt a week lol but I've never done more than 1 layer. I'm going to after this . I have a bunch of pokemon svg I bought off etsy that I want to use.

I have been pulling my hair out with a design thinking I couldn’t layer htv on top of each other. Back to the drawing board with great skills now. Thank you!

Thank you lots for your advice, I’m making 60+ t shirts and I thought I had messed up but watching this tutorial helped me get the hang of it all,specially heat pressing!

I find this video better than another video I watched from someone else. You explained more better on the layering the vinyls and why in each steps. Thank you. Hopefully my next layering project will be better.

Thank you so much for this video! I bartered some work for a Scan N Cut from a lady who didn’t want to take the time to learn how to use it. I’ve had it for about 3 yrs and just recently started trying to use it for HTV. There is almost zero videos on how to use that brand, but this video is so helpful I think I can knock out some Christmas gifts. Also, I think I’m going to put a Cricut on my wish list!

Before I cut a multilayer design, I'm careful to slice away underlayers (e.g., cut the sprinkles out from the donut, the white irises out from the eyes, etc. This provides exact placement for every layer, without the extra bulk of multiple vinyl layers

@@76artsychic HTV comes with its own transfer tape, but it's not one that you can remove the pieces from one carrier and put it on another. One of my process steps is to cut a paper stencil for placement. (This is done by attaching/welding all pieces to make them cut as a single layer, single color, and cutting that on light cardstock.) I'll then layer my weeded HTV on top of each other for placement. Then I'll position the stencil on the garment and, from the lowest layer (largest pieces) up, tack down my HTV (5-10 seconds), peel the carrier sheet, and apply the next layer. Once I have enough placement to be sure of my other pieces, I'll remove the stencil. I had a question regarding the actual step of transferring the image to the actual paper. The actual vinyl can you go over that part how to do the design in the cricket after you created after you make it how to put the vinyl in the cricket thank you so much.

I just did a HTV, and does the shiny side go down? My main question is I have some little spots that need to be weeded. So should I do that when it is still all on the vinyl after cutting? Love your videos 😉🌺

Any tips on how to know what size to make the designs for each size shirts? Is there a video or anything to help?

You will want to measure your shirt, for each shirt size you will want to adjust your design accordingly. For instance, a design size that would be great for a kids shirt would not fill the space on an adult shirt.

Yes, it could be the pressure. Layered vinyl will peel sooner than vinyl applied directly to the fabric. There are also certain types of vinyl that shouldn't be layered. It depends on your cut area and the size of the pieces. You can put multiple different colors on your cutting mat (in different places) to cut at the same time. However many times you will need to load in the individual colored sheet on the mat, one at a time.

How well does this hold up on a tshirt?

Teflon sheet...can I use butcher paper in place of this?

I tried the kiss presses with circut htv and did not stick (carrier sheet would not come off), I had to press for 5 sec each layer which caused shrinking to the base layer. What brand of htv did you use?
