Thanks for the demo! I didn't know where to find the layer comp option.

This is nice Would love to see function similar to photoshop's [smart object] soon Where you only have to edit one place and it will link to all the copy of that object in that project

We need versions too!!! Be able to save different states from your art and recall later it,s a must have.

Really cool feature!! I often make different variations for images (e.g. make characters have different expressions), and it sounds a lot more comfortable to switch around them with this feature. If there's anything I could think of that may come in handy for my use-case, it'd be somehow limiting the affected layers to a selection (e.g. having comps to change the facial expression of character A or B, without affecting the current expression state of the other character). Maybe through limiting the layer comps to layers/folders you have selected as you make the comp...?

I read the comments on why this exists, and I get it for animations, but this seems way too complicated and too much effort

One use case for this could be for saving individual Drawing stages as a state so you can quickly cycle through sketch, lineart, lighting and final polish which is rather useful if you work with a large number of layers and want to just see a particular stage at a time. Another use case I saw on Clip Studio's ver 3.0 feature video is the ability to switch between different lighting views of the same art. I am struggling to think of another use case for this but there will be some clever people that will find some use for it I'm sure.

@@rr.studios People use this feature in Photoshop to do storyboards and animatics. It is very useful

Photoshop has the feature and the prices they force you are a joke, so it better if this program gets it. You have to think what you can use these tools for, an artist can only be led to water. It is used by artists in Photoshop to do Storyboards and animatics. Use your brain to work out what you can use it for. For example if you have different stages of a drawing you can switch between them or if you have multiple shots for a storyboard or animatic single panel you can check them and use it for animatics and storyboards generally
