It's a job to get a job. The system is so broken with all these standards for hiring when it is a necessity for survival for us to have work. Upside down world we're living in.

It’s a bit easier and better long term to put all that effort into starting your own business… like maybe even a KZread channel 😮

Great advice, I do the interviewing in my area and a lot of people can't actually talk about anything they've learned or know in any sort of detail, even with very easy low level questions.

Having certificates to refer to on your resume make a big difference. You can also show any course you take. I took dream catcher course and a course on udemy which made my resume look better even though I'm a new graduate :)

Just want to give you a big THANK YOU! I just finished my MSCIA degree! I found your channel 2 years ago when I was studying for my undergrad. Your videos would help give me some extra motivation to keep going and grinding it out! It's been a wild ride, I went from helpdesk to engineer really quick, and I've seen some profound changes in my life! Thanks again for giving relevant career advice and putting yourself out there. Bravery!

Im finding im probably going to have to do this on my own because i have no friends, no followers and no prospects. Just a high level of education and various applicable skills. If places miss out on me, its their loss. Im going to go write comedy or do music. If i cant make my living by 30 im killing myself. Living life from glimmer of hope to glimmer of hope only to be crushed by circumstance is no way to live. I dont even want kids because of how much life itself has dissapointed me and left me feeling underwhelmed.

Hey Tracy! I recommend making a portfolio and practicing algorithms to "bridge the gap" from CS grad to full of software dev. Check out this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eGx9w8STmqfYg7Q.html
