Thank you :) I just got my skates in today and I was super lost on how to lace them. I've never laced anything like these or even shoes before so this was nice and simple to follow and quick to the point c:

I just learned about lace bite and had to miss a day of skating because my foot hurt. I'm going to try this method today with the lacing and once my foot feels better see if it helps!! Thank you.

Cool video and very helpful. Kinda reminds me of how I had to do it in the service because we couldn't have that "Bridge" going over the top where the eyelets are.

After I do the top loop like you did at the 2:45 I wrap the remaining lace around my ankle above the top loop and double knot it. To me it feels like the top two lace holes are as tight as they can be and lock my heel in place. Good video though.

My new skates came with the first two eyelets laced outside to inside, so I did the rest that way. I'm gonna have to redo them now because I thought it was weird

My ankles get ripped apart, i wear 2 socks and a gel protective pad and still hurts, skate fits good aswell

Hi, I just got some skates that have a 45 degree buckle and a top buckle (hard boot) and they have laces. And I was wondering if it's useful at all to tie the laces all the way to the top, cause I got the straps and it's not like I'm gonna be able to make it tighter than the straps with my strength

Yeah, I'd say just whatever feels the most comfortable, it's all up to preference. I see a lot of people that leave 1, 2 or 3 eyelets unlaced, but for me personally I prefer to lace all the way up. Because I can get em tighter. But if you like how it feels without lacing all the way up, that's works too.

Some use the egg pattern method, and others leave it looser towards the top. I’ve heard some people skip the 4th eyelet if they have ankle pain. I have some ankle pain so I’m trying different methods along with some gel pads with a hole cut in the middle under some booties. Thanks.
