Glad it was helpful!
As a motorhome operator thank you for this. Now I can confirm my suspicions that I have bad shocks and tire cupping. Gotta love the trucking community.
well done
I needed this more than what you think. I put all 10 tires new last year. 120k miles later I’m changing all 10 😢 4 of them still ok but just do it all even again. Pretty expensive fuck ups I’d say
What i love about this is the experience he has.
All your videos are very educational and interesting, keep them coming. 👍🏼🇯🇲
I love your videos .You are responsible operator and a STRAIGHT shooter. If a driver is paying attention, he can feel if tires are right or not.I live in Michigan around DIRTYCITY I pulled gravel- trains, low boys, 5 to 8 axle trailers.I could FEEL if a tire was low or something is wrong. Good tires, properly inflated, nothing like it.I get better speed , better control. I am not DRAGGING a trailer and tires. Thank you, so much for your professionalism .
Great insights on the tyres. Thank you Brian.
The steer tire has a wear that’s called feather wear, what causes that issue is many things. One thing can be bad alignment in the rear. Think of your truck like a solo cup right If you lay it down and move it it moves in a circle right, now your drive tires are pushing the truck the road is never flat the road is always crowned. Now with a crowned round and the drives pushing you to the right you counter steer it to the left . What that causes is for your passenger steer to go out quickly and your left side tire is okay. That drive tire is actually under inflated. When tires are flat or under inflated all the weight is on the shoulders but when it’s over inflated it actually crowns there for the shoulders get scrubbed off and get bad wearing.
Good vid. Thank you.
