Had a friend for 10 years that's recently done this to me, after I've had over a year long fight with bad depression. I have not been active on social media and this friend took me not talking, as some sort of disrespect to them. Anyone had long term depression that made you want to be off social media, or made you not talkative or interactive? People take it personally, when it's not meant to be like that. Some people will completely cut you out without understanding its not about them, or disrespect towards them. It's your own internal struggle you need to handle better. Some people understand, and some do not.

Thankyou this help me a lot to understand if I'm ignore or not but it's hurt to know that Im totally ignored by my love one 😓

What about if we are in the same group chat with the person i ignored will messenger inform him about being ignored? For example i ignored my classmate but we are in the same group chat because of school when he click it that gc will messenger inform him about someone ignoring him?

The unshaded tick means that you have sent the message. The shaded one means they haven't read it yet they recieved a notification that you messaged them..

Mannn I hope that person I m trying to avoid doesn’t know that. How do you tell the difference between being blocked or ignored ? I am not blocked on his Facebook and we aren’t friends on there. I sent him a message and still have the blank check mark.

What if I sent a message that just outlined tick, that it's online, but never read, that I sent one more message, than suddenly both become shaded ticks, how to explain this?

Your on a normal chat box He/she just didnt tap to see your message.

But he has the active now button off , same as mine. And he hasnt replied to me as well as hasnt shared any memes . So Im thinking he might be just busy but then I knew my last message was on delivered , this morning i checked its already just "sent" (unshaded) :

In 2022 now it's changed. Now it shows delivered (Blue Check Mark) whether they read them or not it's gonna remain same. Also if ur seeing their profile more often in ur friend suggestions (if ur not friends with them) then their profile will not be suggested in friends suggestions.

I have something to say about the unchecked. Not all of it means that they are being ignored if there active and its left unchecked. Since doing fb in android makes u look active but logged out on messenger. the one who messages will see it unchecked. Hope this helps :DD

Yes. It's possible. I can't understand why either 🙄 I'm researching the same because my messages was marked as "sent" but not "delivered" for days. One day, suddenly all of them was received. They were never read tho. The person is online tho. There is no option of sharing a screenshot, if not I'll post what I see here.

What you can be sure is that the other person is ignoring you one way or another. It's incredibly frustrating! They should've just blocked us and we will know for certain. 😂

Visit her/his profile. If you don’t see the message button then you are ignore by her/his.

Their Active Status is off, but they can still see you're messages but they seems to be offline/not active.

Oh, if that's the case. He/she is not opening his/her messenger but his/her WiFi/internet is still open. You'll be offline if you're not opening your messenger, but still can receive messages because your internet connection is open
