Hi: First; I am a Continental knitter, so I really appreciate you doing stitch methods both in English and Continental. I have been asking some other knitting sites about WHY I have a large loop at the end of a row, and how to avoid this problem. Every site said, “It has to do with tension.” I felt that that was not correct, because my tension is the same all across the rows, and since I have noticed the problem, I have been more aware of “tension” at the end and beginning of rows. It has not changed, so I do not know the cause. At 2:30 in your video you casually mentioned that you go through the BACK of the knitted stitch “…. So that you don’t get a huge loop there.” !!!! This is wonderful, and I am soooo happy and excited to hear that this may be a remedy for my problem with a large loop. NO ONE ELSE HAS SUGGESTED THIS, so I am really excited, and wanted to thank you for this little BONUS tip. You may not even be aware of how much you have helped. So far, NO large loops! NOW, the next question is, can you apply this tip if we are on a purl row? I tried it, however, because the yarn is in the front of the work (for purling), I could not go through the back loop. Or, is this even a possible? Thanks!

I have another question: WHY does going into the back of the knit stitch avoid getting a large loop? I am so fascinated that this little tip of going into the BACK of the knit stitch avoids this problem that I have been having. Why does it work? Thanks!

Thank you for your comments! Yes, it's possible also when purling the last stitch. I've showed it in several of my videos (can't remember which one though).

You are my favorite channel! You taught me to knit and the easiest to understand. I wish you had a regular brioche stitch tutorial, there aren’t many on KZread and the ones that ARE up, are not as easy to understand. If you made one, it would be SO much appreciated.

Your work is really even and beautiful. I really enjoyed this video, because of your instructions are clear and easy to follow for beginners and not laborious for advanced knitters. Just a piece of trivia for you, one of my pattern books calls this the ‘Bee stitch’. Keep up the good work.

I want to try this out and see if it will be okay for a Preemie blanket. The unit does not want any patterns that allow tiny fingers to get caught in the blanket. Of course I can use it for the other blankets I make.
