Thank you so much for this video. I am a new knitter and have watched many videos about how to get clean edges because mine are always bumpy. But I only know how to knit right now and not purl so when I found your video… I was so excited I said I can do it that way! Again thank you you really helped me with your video.😊

This is excellent! Way better than just doing a slip stitch edge.

This has worked beautifully on a baby blanket with a border of 10 garter stitches. Not only straight but almost gives effect of a 1 stitch I-cord

It's a very pretty and easy method. My only concern is when you use this for cardigans or anything that requires decreasing on the edges... That, I believe, will cause some confusion. No matter what pattern you're knitting, you'll always have to knit the stitch after the yarn over (yo)....

Hello to you again and all viewers! I've tried your method, and it comes out beautifully! The title of the video is 'for garter stitch'. Does that mean I can't use it for any other pattern? If anyone else has tried this with pattern knitting, could you please tell me if this method still applies.

The only thing to remember is do 2 knit stitch at the end of each row and slip one stitch at the beginning of the row and then it comes out straight?
