These socks are quick and easy to knit as you are knitting up to your ankle. In this video I show how to knit ankle socks using sock yarn. We will be using double pointed needles.
The sock yarn is finer yarn (weight of 1) and therefore using skinnier needles (US 2.75 mm or smaller). This requires you to cast on more stitches. I usually prefer to keep one pair of socks the size you are knitting near by to compare size.
The sock knitted uses both the rib stitch and a stockinette pattern. The rib stitch creates the border while stockinette creates the body of the sock. The video shows the knitting for a 0-3 month old.
