This is a pattern that can be used in both directions which makes it great to use for scarves, cowls, and even hats and sweaters. This pattern is a 12-row pattern that is repeated till you get the desired length.
*TIPS*
- you would need to cast a multiple of 6 stitches + 5 stitches.
- when binding off or finishing the pattern, you want to stop after Row 5
*STEPS*
Cast on desired stitches
Row 1: k4, (p3, k3)*, repeat * till 1st remaining, k1
Row 2: p4, (k3, p3)*, repeat * till 1st remaining, p1
Row 3: repeat row 1
Row 4: repeat row 2
Row 5: k1, (yo, slip 1st, k2tog, pass slip st, yo, k3)*, repeat * till 1st remaining, k1
Row 6, 8, and 10: repeat row 1
Row 7, 9, and 12: repeat row 2
Row 11: k4, (yo, slip 1st, k2tog, pass slip st, yo, k3)*, repeat * till 1st remaining, k1
Repeat above 12 rows till desired length.
